Why are not Bush, Rice, Clinton, Chaney, Powel... etc, etc... in the Hague for their crimes against humanity. Bush alone is resposible for 3 times the casulaties of all the Balkan wars in the 90's in Iraq alone. This UN farce should be discredited for what it is. A tool.

• Victor obviously does not understand international law. He uses the example of Saddam Hussein’s trial as a standard of justice. What a joke? Victor there is nine core international treaties that govern International Law. Beside these core treaties there are also precedence’s and conventions that you need to examine before you can claim whether or not a trial is just or a kangaroo court. The Hague Tribunal (HT) and the Saddam Hussein trial have violated all of these treaties. International Law sees all persons as presumed innocent and shall be treated as such. The key concept of International Law and British jurisprudence, which most people use as a standard, .is rule of law, independence of the judiciary and due process. The Hague Tribunal was ad hoc and not crested by rule of law, neither was it independent nor did it practice due process. Victor is a courtroom translator and he should know all this. International Criminal Court (ICC) is independent Victor while the HT is a NATO court and Saddam’s court is an American Military Tribunal. Both are ad hoc to whitewash America’s global hegemony. These tribunals are not independent and neither uses due process. ICC is independent and yet United States administration has signed separate agreements with almost all nations guaranteeing that Americans would not be sent to ICC. Victor Croatia has refused to sign an agreement with USA on this but don’t hold your breath on them sending Americans to this court. For Victor there is one set of rules for Serbs and one set of rules for others. Serbs to Victor are guilty whenever they are accused and there is no presumption of innocence for them while for everyone else they are innocent until proven guilty.

“Whilst mladic and karadzic may not be in serbia they are probably in neighbouring countries which Serbia has some influence”

My bet: Karadzic and Mladic are where they never left: Bosnia’s REPUBLIKA SRPSKA. Or, at least, Republika Srpska security apparatus works like a “praetorian guard” to protect this two bandits.

Some people here are pretty naïve. Although not admitting it publicly, Srpska’s political, military, policial and religious elite consider Mladic and Karadzic the “founding fathers of the libertation of the Republika Srpska”, so they would NEVER face a fair and just trial in Banja Luka courts.

Victor. That first sentence from your last post was the finest and most intelligent thing you have ever written. Of course strictly he should be put on trial in R.Srbska.

Karadzic usually is hidding in Montenegro, Montenegro is not a part of Serbia any more, so if he is in Montenegro how are we suppose to catch him. Plus if we bring you Mladic are you going to let him die, and let him not have Justice like you did with Milosevic. Because if we do give him to you and he just dies after a year, it will show that there is no point giving you war crime crinamls which never have there justice been serve to them.

Maldic should be put on trial in Serbia and sentenced by his own people, just as Saddam was. For all his crimes have tarnished Serbia for a long time.

Tadic knows well where Dr Karadzic, an illustruous poet and politician, is hiding. He knew all the time, just as Dindic knew, and he was assassinated before he deterred him to The Hague.

Tadic also know where Mladic is, and he is too scared to deliver him, because he fears the population who portarys him as a Serbian hero.

Both criminals are protected by a powerful network, and the Serbian Gov. has no choice but «rejecting new demands» for their extradiction.

Victor,

I guess you did not read my comment unless of course you believe the BBC is naive too???? The facts are that Djorjevic was found in Montenegro.

But Daniel why does the EU not exert pressure on Montenegro if this was about justice and equality???? Montenegro harbouring Karadzic was purposefully overlooked by the EU, and UN via Del Ponte & ICTY because it would have resulted in the Montenegrin referendum not going the "right" way!!!

The fact is it is all politics such examples show it for what it is!

Serbia will do it's utmost to arrest those who are indicted and on Serbian territory. Tadic is right to point out that Karadzic is not in Serbia and as such Serbia cannot be held hostage for his arrest. It is well know that Karadzic has always been in Montenegro. BBC report in July 2005 stated as much;
Karadzic 'hiding in Montenegro' http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4644949.stm

Maybe the EU should freeze SAA talks with Montenegro - ahh but then everyone knows it was not about justice or equallity but polictics!!

Tadic is right to put the record straight so that this continued misinformation is corrected.

They may not be in Serbia but serbia can exert pressure on a country in which he currently is in. Whilst mladic and karadzic may not be in serbia they are probably in neighbouring countries which Serbia has some influence. Whetehr they want to is a different matter. Although they may not be in serbia, i doubt that they dont know where they are. Everything can be achieved with pressure and thats why UN needs to keep at it.
