“No favoritism for Russian companies”

Not one Russian company will be prioritized in the Serbian Oil Industry (NIS) tender, Mlađan Dinkić says.

Kukuruz, you are wrong. Russia did veto in 1999. NATO went around the veto, and Russia couldn't do anything more because of its terrible economic position back then.

Why? I mean there is no historic tie between us and the Russians. The say they will boycot the UN vote on Kosovo but just like in 1999 they will bail out.

Russia is corrupt, I dont want them in Serbia.

The Russians have more than enough petro-dollars to be the highest bidders and should be encouraged to invest as much capital in Serbia as humanly possible.No firms from any nation should be sold Serbian assets at bargain basement prices but at fair market rates the Russians are ideal buyers.

Russians are given favouritism, just be being allowed to buy things. They have the money, and lots of it - but so far they have not been allowed to go into Serbia much, as the Serbian government is Pro-West and is not very keen on building ties with Russia. Now however, they have no choice, and have to cooperate with them.
