Black and Red with a single symbol in the middle isn't that what the Nazis had? Oh wait they also had a black eagle if I recall correctly.

How about Black & Blue, something from Serbia and something from Albania. It also signifies the destruction and violence committed by each side towards the other. Sadly, I feel this is the most appropriate.

"IT MUST be recognizable, REPRESENT the multi-ethnic character of Kosovo and THE CITIZENS' DESIRE TO INTEGRATE INTO THE EURO-ATLANTIC structures, the commission stated."

How many days does it take to sail from Kosovo to the Atlantic Ocean?

WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THE FLAG...

As long as we don't have to put up with some serb intolerance and abuse, that's fine with us.
And second ,you dont really have to worry about some other country's flag (KosovA)..
So stop making up things ..

azir, I think you miss the point. The flag of Albania represents the Albanians and likewise with the flag of Serbia for Serbs. Flags of other countries don't include a symbol representing minorities generally speaking.

Currently Kosovo doesn't have a distinct flag and the UN have decreed it cannot be the flag or another country so it cannot be the same as Albania or Serbia. Or it cannot have red & black or red, blue & white. I suspect a Cyprus style outline map of Kosovo perhaps green on yellow background as they are the only colours left!

Why not starting a competiton for the flag of the Independent state of Greek Northern Epirus?
(Argyrokastro, Korytsa, Tepeleni, Apolonia, etc...)?

If those greek guys were given 1/100 of what the Serbs gave the K-albanians, no one would complaint.

Maybe they can ask the marketing firm that created the London Olympics 2012 logo to design the Kosovo flag. Those guys are genius :)

I wonder if even Russians are beginning to listen to Kostunica, thats how far this has gone out of Serbia's control. Not that they really ever had it.

My prediction is that the flag will feature a burning Orthodox church while figures of NATO soldiers stand to one side polishing their rifles and doing little else. This would be in keeping with the history of the place since NATO came in. They could then produce a couple hundred of these flags, and put up one for each burned church. It would be a lot of flags, but that's because there has been a lot of wanton destruction under the noses of NATO.

Here's a prediction... the Albanians will find this to be "too much of a compromise too" and will, soon after independence, start to demand a change in the flag. And I'm sure they'll have to answer to the UN. And soon they will start to realize that life under the Serbs was a little better. At least when the Serbs were in control, they were able to have their flags. With the UN in control, any attempt to replace the flag will be met with dismissals like you see in Bosnia.

That's democracy, USA style. Remember, in Bosnia, elected officials were terminated from office when the West didn't like what they were saying. You think anything will be different in Kosovo? But in a few years, the Albanians will rise up against their "Friends"... and when that day comes, I will be laughing and enjoying the show. US support for the Albanians in Kosovo is like the US support of the Afghanies in the 1980s. In other words... it will turn ugly one day when the Albanians get sick of being controlled.

Blacky you missed the point. K-Albaninas as well as K-Serbs have the right to fly their national flag next to Kosovo/a state flag. Please, don't try to incite hatred be for real my friend.
