'Contrary to American propoganda, most Kosovar's left the country because of the intense NATO bombing campaign'
I can assure you that NATO bombs even during most intensive bombing were salvation for many Kosovars comparing with atrocities of Serbian military, police and paramilitary forces very often supported by their Serbian neighbors...

serbs are used to ruling a lot, a 4-7% wants to rule 93-97% non-serbian state. Game over, you lose again and again. You lost in Croatia, Slovakia, Montenegro, Kosova, etc. It's funny how when small minorities are voicing their problems they(serbs) freak out and blame US/UN/EU. Kosova is serbia? Is that 19th or 20th century mentality? Kosova has been independent-mediated since 1999, Kosova isn't serbian, it never was, it never will be.

Joe, my dear, can you imagine that maybe YOU are the one who should take care about his connection to the 21.century??? I am constantly talking about respect towards the international law, something you don´t even seem to be capable of understanding.

John,

No other country in the world treated his own citizens in such a way as Serbia did: expulsion of about 1 million people, burning of about 300,000 homes, killing of 12,000 citizens. So because of this "unique behavior" of Serbia the logical follow-up is also unique: independence for that province. Because of her unique behavior Serbia lost all moral claim on Kosovo already in 1999.

Did you know that illegal uranium depleted bombs were dropped in Kosovo?

Contrary to American propoganda, most Kosovar's left the country because of the intense NATO bombing campaign.

Do you realize that illegal cluster bombs were used by NATO?

Do you know that over 1000 Serbs & Kosovar civilians were killed by NATO bombs with thousands of more injuries.

Do you know that the US broke the Geneva conventions including targeting civilian new stations, civilian economic infrastructures, civilian hospitals, & civilian utility stations in order to intimidate the civilians.

Finally, do you realize that the Treaty of Trianon is FINAL, de jure, never to return. Even Croatia does not want to live as part of Hungary let alone Vojvodia, Serbia or Bessarabia & Transylvania in Romania.

Guess what Tesla...
Yes they can. The same way they were able to cutt off Kosova from Albania in 1913 and gave it to Serbia.
You were not able to handle it properly.
time to end the bloodshed.

Please Joe - can you inflate some more numbers, like Bush's domestic approval rating.

If the K-Albanians had been loyal citizen's to the state, obeyed the rule of law, paid their taxes, and most of all not tried to incite a rebellion against the state. Then, perhaps they would not have been treated so terribly.

Please take a look at the South after the US Civil War - pretty devastating stuff. That's what happens in a Civil War. Please don't complain about the atrocities, as the K-Albanians started the whole mess in the first place. First, with their mistreatment of K-Serbs in the 70's and 80', refusing to adhere to the rule of law, and trying to illegaling separate Kosovo from Serbia. All illegal acts, and now you cry persecution tears. Gimme a break!! You're lucky you didn't try that stuff in the good ol' USofA - then you would have something to cry about.

John

pre 16 godina

Since Kosovo is Serbia and always will be, it is natural that the government asks all its citizens to abide by its rule of law. It's just that the Albanians are the only people in the western world that have refused to abide by the laws of their government. It's pathetic that they are going to be rewarded for such bahavior, even by getting autonomy. I would love to see an American citizen not pay their taxes and get away scott-free like the Albanians did for decades.

It is not the first time that you express this old serbian "master" arrogance by warning to BEHAVE. It is so much fun to see how you are disconnected with the reality. As a US citizen with no Albanian connection I am just wondering how long it will take for some of you to step to the XXI century.

Dane

Broad autonomy is an old story. Kosovo has tried to live with it (i974), but Serbia didn't alow (1989)... Kosovars are tired from waiting what kind of autonomy is 'coming' from Serbia, there is no reason to give another chance to Serbia. Serbia has lost a credibility to think over Kosovo and govern it in its 'original' way of treating the others...
Kosovars are convinced that Surroi and the others are on a right track representing political will of at least 2 mil. Kosovars... Partnership, in this case with USA and EU, requires prudent steps and good coordination and Kosovars are proved as credible partners, because partnership requires good bases for common actions and in Kosovo case it is so obvious, facts from all aspects are so sustainable and evidential. Kosovo independency is so apparent... Good luck Kosovo on your own way...

Long has been the time when we had to listen to our Serbian 'masters' on how to BEHAVE! We can behave however we want and see it fit, yet without any need to seek any sort of approval from you guys. It's over; i am sure this year we say 'papa' to Serbia. Forever, that is! Then, you might want to come tell us how to behave in our own country. We'll think about whether we want to listen to you or not. It's a choice we can make! Independence, here we go!

Jovan

scarcely anything could be farther from reality. by claiming something that is not theirs, the Albanians are creating a frozen conflict ( maybe exactly what the US need in the Balkans in order to be "needed" there ).
if they accepted broad autonomy, what is a lot after how they behaved in the last 8 years, everything would be settled. k-albanians would rule themselves, and Serbia´s territorial integrity wouldn´t be harmed.
either Bush has bad advisors, or Suroi is a liar.
