"They were standing in a long line along the road leading out of the settlement. A reservist nicknamed Crni (Black) went up to an old man who was holding a child aged around three or four. He grabbed the toddler from the man's arms and demanded a ransom of 20,000 German marks. The Albanian only had 5,000. Crni took the child by the hair, pulled out a knife and hacked off its head.
"'5,000 is only enough for the body,' he said and walked off past the other villagers, carrying the child's head by its hair."

I wonder where this Crni is. Maybe he is one of them denying the genocide against Albanians. How can he sleep and live when he has done something so inhuman.

PEACE
(Question Mark, Wednesday, 6 June, 2007, 11:31)

Question Mark, this article doesn’t establish that this type of behavior was acceptable in Kosovo, in fact it does just the opposite.
"Crni was later declared insane, discharged and sent home. But he is still free to walk the streets, even though he committed this terrible crime."
This is evidence that the army didn’t approve of this behavior. However, I do agree he should have faced jail time, but he was simply a psychopath.

There are 8.7 Million citizens in Serbia not including the Albanians, of those citizens a large majority of them are under the age of 45 but over 15, check it out in the World fact book produced by the CIA (are you going to tell me the CIA is publishing propaganda?) I thought they were your heroes. Next, there are up to 500,000 able bodied men and women that can fight to defend their country if it was called for, this is a fact. The KLA was a band of poorly trained uneducated gang of thugs that did not have heavy weapons, Serbia my friend to this day has over 300 heavy modern tanks. Not to mention an air force and the list goes on and on. Go to the JANES military website (Again an American web site) online and look up war statistics in their archives and you will see that they published that NATO inflicted less then 8% damage on the Yugoslav army, additional proof to this is the CNN broadcast in 1999 broadcasting a 7 mile convoy of heavy Serbian armour coming out of Kosovo when the war was over, this made NATO look stupid because they claimed they destroyed the Yugoslav Army, which was of course a lie, by the way go to You-Tube on the Internet and find this CNN video clip if you don't believe me.

by the way: it was the k-albanians dreamers here who wanted to celebrate in NYC, don´t you remember that? =)

Are talking about the Serbian accupatorial army that suffered considerable losses from KLA(army with 2 years of experience)during 1998-99 on Kosova, not to mention Croatian army or Bosnian army. I am supporting this with the articles that you have posted here earlier.
By the way, what do you know about Serbia, Kosova-Balkans when you are sitting in your sofa and reading articles full of MYTH's.

Canadien looks like the entire population of Serbia is in army. Is the entire population of Serbian between 18-65 years of age?

My dear friend, really I would suggest you come to Serbian and talk to the youth and they will give you a very different picture about Serbia

Canadien

Joe, Serbia does in fact have one of the finest trained special anti-terrorism units in the world. It's a unit of no less then 5000 members, maybe you remember them from when the Serbian PM was assassinated in 2003, they were on every corner of every city, town and village in Serbia. This unit alone could take on a regular army 10 times its number, as far as taking on a rouge disorganized entity like the defunct KLA it would be no match. Besides this unit, Serbia has a regular paid army of 30,000 members, and it has a reserve army of 100,000 members and all this does not include drafting fighters from the Serbian population (over 500,000 if the country ever engaged in an all out), incidentally anyone they draft over the age of 20 is already a trained solider. Are you kidding when you say Serbia has no military might? Please don't make me go into what sort of equipment they have. You can look up these facts on the Internet, JANES military website is probably a good place to start.

To all Pro-Albanians:

Do you know why "Albin Kurti" and a dozen others like him were arrested in Kosovo yesterday. For those of you who do not know who this fool is, he was the organizer of a violent independence protest in Kosovo in February in which two albanians were killed by NATO and one seriously hurt. This man is full of hate, and wishes to stir up the Albanians to unilaterally declare Kosovo independent regardless of what Serbia and the entire world or law says. He was arrested yesterday because the EU and USA both know that there will be no Kosovo independence this week or probably ever and by putting away this guy they limit the amount of risk that could happen in the days to come.

Victor K.

The draft resolution to be presented by the USA once again contains 9 unacceptable provisions - unacceptable to 98% of the UN member-states, because they feel that either their own territory or territories of other states might be cut off by a group of "experts".

Milan

Joe,

Being a Russian column is exactly what they want. A nation of 8 million that is the only non CIS country to have free trade with Russia. Wow, opens up the market for the EU quite a bit doesn't it..

Joe

pre 16 godina

Ratko,
You would not even have to borrow. As things are developing rapidly with Putin he would most likely send you equipement free of charge. The question will be only how the West would react seeing Serbia as a forward Russian position. Admission to the EU is years away under the best conditions. Seeing Serbia as the 6th Russian column do you think Brussels would not change its mind? As for the NATO you seem to forget its near presence. Now it is even closer to Serbia than it was in 1999. It would be a bad idea to play with the fire again.

This is hilarious. every day the albanians come no B92 and say that they wil get independence every week and that Russia is a weak power and that america is so strong that they will get unilateral recognition. You underestimate our resolve Jovan, no UN resolution, no superpower, nothing whatoesver can make us accept Serbia as our country.

I vividly remember waiting in the Kosovo-Albania border for 2 days in the rain for Arkans Tigers to show us some mercy and let us cross the border.

"There are now only two options: internationally monitored autonomy or partition.", said Kate. You sound worst than your serb polititions. At one time they were saying less than independence and more than autonomy, and now Kate you are offering us supervised autonomy.

let me put my bet. talks will continue. no independence in 2007.why??? the time the west promised has lapsed because russia opposed it. still russia is opposing it, so time will pass just the same.

Milan

Massimo, it would be done very easy, by taking a humvee into Kosovo and setting up shop. How would it work? Let's see, take a look at Chechnya.

«There are now only two options: internationally monitored autonomy or partition.»

And what about independance, Kate? If it's what the people want, why have a part of Kosovo when you can have it all?

No resolution this week. Someone needs to make their mind. I guess the "mighty" US had to back down so they didnt make fools out of ourselves.

Joe

Milan,
You live in a dream world. What is left of the serbian army? I think very little. What do you think how NATO would react if few serbian military vehicles would cross the border into Kosovo? By the way I did not know that the serbian army had any humvee. Sorry for my ignorance.

This is hilarious. every day the albanians come no B92 and say that they wil get independence every week and that Russia is a weak power and that america is so strong that they will get unilateral recognition. Looks like that potential Russian veto is a mighty weapon - i don't hear the americans or europeans recognising Kosovo.

PB

pre 16 godina

Massimo - it can't which is why i would like to see some pragmatism - i.e. split Kosovo into two parts, with each part containing the population who is in the majority.

flO - care to describe Kosovo's progress. according to the UN, no progress has been made at all, economically or socially.

NATO must take pre-emptive measures to arrest and exile potential threats to its authority in Kosovo now that it is becoming crystal clear that Kosovo cannot legally become independent.Violence will not be rewarded this time.

Joe

pre 16 godina

Ratko,
You would not even have to borrow.

Milan

pre 16 godina

Joe,

Being a Russian column is exactly what they want. A nation of 8 million that is the only non CIS country to have free trade with Russia. Wow, opens up the market for the EU quite a bit doesn't it..

The draft resolution to be presented by the USA once again contains 9 unacceptable provisions - unacceptable to 98% of the UN member-states, because they feel that either their own territory or territories of other states might be cut off by a group of "experts".

Nick: simple answer is, because in Priština, they will not celebrate, they will be in a state of frenzy, because the do not get what they were promised.

by the way: it was the k-albanians dreamers here who wanted to celebrate in NYC, don´t you remember that? =)

I think the cookies must be very dry by now.

another question: is there really a "boulevard" named after this guy who cheated on his wife with a minor youth???

you Albanians have the wrong idols, I guess.
