Why don't the Serbs hire local companies? Milosevic used Serbian companies to rebuild many bridges, Zastava, heating plants, schools, etc. in record time.

I just read that Serbia's foreign debt has increased 83% since 2000. Even the IMF wonders how the Serbian government will raise money after they've sold off and privatized everything (which is how they are getting a lot of money now.)

Serbia will head for an economy meltdown if it doesn't invest and use their own production versus buying from foreign countries all the time.

Even if local Serbs are hired, the main money and profits would go to the foreign countries which would hire the Serbs for very low pay and no benefits.
