After 2 days of concentrated excavation they haven't found any bodies in this "suspected" mass grave.

The original claims extend from an ANONYMOUS Hague "witness". It appears he was lying.

Also lying would be the unsourced "Serbian Officials" who said they had some sort of equipment that showed hundreds of bodies.

So we are to believe that Serbs can bury, then dig up, transfer and rebury hundreds or thousands of bodies (and undercover of bombs) yet in 2 days of concentrated bombing not a single body or bone or evidence of anyone dead there shows up.

I say it is a bust. Unfortunately the claim and headlines stick in people's minds like Viktors who adds it to a discovery of a mass grave when it wasn't one.

These headlines - false or greatly exaggerated - give the impression of much more people dead in the Balkan wars and make it seem 50 times bigger than it was.

Hasan Ceku (amongst others) was in Cuska, as were members of the KLA. That is known. It's always the same story where then men deny being in the KLA or providing the KLA with services/weapons/logistics.

You still haven't presented anything to back up your claim that:

"12 000 Albanians were killed in 78 dats, and 3000 are till missing" where you try to give the impression that they were all killed by Serbs. As for bringing war criminals to justice, the West treats their preferred war criminals like thaci & ceku with kid gloves.

I do indeed agree that ALL those responsible should be brought to justice. I do no accept that war criminals with powerful backers should be let off or ignored in the name of 'stability' or 'friendship', but that is exactly what has happened and the 'moral' media doesn't give a damn.

«It may be convenient for you to lump all the 'albanians' together, but that is absolutely useless if we don't know who did what to who and how. »

In Cuska, in May 1999, Serb soldiers herded 43 Albanians, sprayed them with bullets and burned them, dead or still alive. And they move to the next village, and did the same, and another village. Over 100 men was killed in one day! And other groups of your brave soldiers, Nele, on this HOLY LAND of yours, were going from one village to the other, killing the men and raping the women!

Please, go to Kosovo, visit Cuska, and ask a few questions, and you will possibly hear the TRUTH.

A Serb living in the USA, Australia or the UK, know nothing of what happened; they only follow the Serbian propaganda of « the Brave Serbian soldiers who fought and died protecting our holy land Kosovo.»

I am sick and tired of hearing from the bleeding hearts. You know who you are. Your outrages figures make me laugh. 12000 Kosovo Albanians dead is a Joke. Where are they!
I for one am not ashamed of the Brave Serbian soldiers who fought and died protecting our holy land Kosovo. The Serbian government did what every country has the right to do protect its people and its borders. Look up your international Law books.

Victor, the mass grave we were discussing last week involved victims of CROATIAN terror!!!! It was poor innocent Bosniak victims from Mostar.
You seemed to have missed that part. Here's your opportunity to enlighten us on your views of Croatian crimes against Bosniaks. Why do we not hear such strong condemnations against the Croats from you? At least Serbs were "honest" and didn't pretend to be the Bosniaks allies and then slaughter them when they were at their weakest. You clearly only care when its victims of Serbian crimes, anything else you sweep under the rug or try to justify.

First of all, simply because of a claim doesn't mean there are bodies there - they haven't found any yet. Or any bodies could be much, much lower than the claims.

Investigators in Kosovo went to suspected mass grave sites and sometimes found none - such as the Trepca mines. Or they found only 3-5 in places where "witnesses" claimed a hundred.

Further, this area between the NATO and Serb checkpoints is not controlled by Serbs and bones or bone fragments could have easily been smuggled over since the war and dropped into the quarry.

Having a claim of a large number without any proof is pure propaganda.

Victor - Even the UN doesn't claim 12,000 dead, but around 5,000 including combatants. Read the real reports not from the press.
As for you praising Svetlana's courage - you are only doing to because she has said something you agree with.

Aleks

Victor, out of the '12,000', how many albanians were killed by other albanians? How many were civlians and how many were kla? In the ICTY itself evidence has been presented of inter-albanian killing during 1999 (generally over political power and albanians loyal to the serb state), not to mention orders by KLA commanders for albanians to vacate their villages (it's all in the ICTY's transcripts).

It may be convenient for you to lump all the 'albanians' together, but that is absolutely useless if we don't know who did what to who and how.

This is the same dishonest game that Tosaka of the missing persons bureau in Sarajevo plays by lumping together ArBiH soldiers and civilians when talking about 'bosnian moslems killed'. As I've posted here previously, he even doesn't deny (for example) that the men at Srebrenica were officially listed as soldiers (something that the free western press refuses to say, preferring such dishonest circumelocutions as 'men and boys'), but makes the lame excuse that they could only get 'benefits if they were members of the ArBiH' (interview by Emir Suljagic).

Add to that the win-win argument that was used in Bosnia and Kosovo, i.e. 1: 'xxx thousand 'people' were killed' - so presenting simple numbers (taken in isolation of relevant factors) as 'proof' that one side is worse than the other; 2: When the numbers just don't stack up (i.e. bosnia dead being closer to 100,000+ than 200,000+, or much less than 12,000 'killed', the fact that ArBiH generals often sent massed infantry attacks into artillery fire, or the famous sarajevo break out of april 1995 where ~5,000 ArBiH were wiped out in a ARS ambush), then the argument 'it's not about the numbers' etc. etc. is used.

Who is it really 'playing' the victim? Meanwhile blood feuds have reappeared in Albania and spread to Kosovo (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2007/06/03/wfeud03.xml), though this started even before 1999, it's only just being picked up.

Aleks and Kate,

when the ICTY has finished with the Serbian mass graves, they will deal with the missing Serb from Kosovo. Don't forget Kate, that 12 000 Albanians were killed in 78 dats, and 3000 are till missing.

Read the facts and stick to them, Kate!

kate

Aleks - Plus I read headlines saying Serbian authorities are probing suspected mass graves; where are the headlines about the Kosovan authorities investigating the 2,000 missing or killed since the 1999 Kosovo 'liberation'? While genuinely not belittling any innocents who died, it is all very one sided.
And what about Albanians killed by the KLA? Nothing about that.

Aleks

Poor old Victor, still throwing stones from inside the glasshouse. The Croats (particularly the statesmen) have shown the minimum sign of owning up to their own history and past, seeking to minimize and relativize the mass crimes of World War Two with that of the 1990s. That's real David Irving territory.

As for the 'alleged' grave, if they are soldiers, then tough. If they are civilians (and by that I don't mean members of the KLA who are not wearing uniform), then the perpetrators should be brought to justice.

Meanwhile, the Albanians and the West/UN & mainstream media continue to ignore the plight and discrimination against the Roma, and ignore that the KLA cleansed over 100,000. They were not even invited to have their own representative for talks on Kosovo's future.

Those albanians on this forum who constantly bleat about Serbian 'crimes' continue to remain silent on their heroes treatment of the Roma. It would be 'inconvenient' for them to do otherwise.

«We came to check claims that at this location lie the remains of an undetermined number of people».

At the great displeasure of Ida, Matthew, Zoran, Milan and other Serbs, I was writing on this forum last week, that every month new mass graves were found, in various locations across Bosnia, and unfortunately the perpetrators are all under the protection of Serbia. Kostunica and Tadic, under the pressure of the most radicals, are refusing to deliver the perpetrators to the ICT.

All this procedure should have been done 10 years ago, after the war. The Serbs should have complied 100% with the ICTY and delivered all the war criminals, and all the locations of mass graves, because they know where they are, and many are still deep into Serbia; instead of pointing at others, and trying to incriminate Albanians and Croats for what they did.

Serbia is ten years back in the treatment of this war crime report, only because the UN established a Court to punish those who covered Bosnia with mass-graves!

This is a shame for a nation. Serbia should have imitate Germany and recognize the facts, the joint criminal enterprise, and fully cooperate with the UN and EU, to clean its name and what was done by a minority of radicals and ultra-nationalists.

I am still waiting to see this D-DAY!
