Russian investment in resources in other countries began several years ago. Norilsk, for example, the world's largst nickel and platinum group metals producer, bought Stillwater in the Us for cash and now has a cash bid for several billion dollars for Canadian nickel miner Lionore.

Russian investment in metals will continue and RTB Bor is a logical candidate.

Global capital knows no borders today and if the deal is fair, Russian investment and technology is as good as any one elses. Just ask Stillwater and the Canadians.

I grew up, and have lived in the US for over 50 years, it has only been within the last couple that my eyes have opened with how my country has come to do business. American politicians are giving away America, so what would they care about Serbia. Just follow the money/oil trail and you will see why American politicians do what they do. It was not always like this but, today it's ALL about the money. Serbia, GO FOR IT, Russians money is just as good.

You are wrong Marco. Russian investments are not crappy at all. They are very effective, and there is huge potential with trade and integration with Russia.

The west's investments are crappy and harmful. They invest in tobacco and alcohol. They refuse to take on the debt, passing it on to the Serbian taxpayers, and they pay peanuts with no benefits (U.S. Steel).

Meanwhile, they drop their nuclear waste (DU weapons contained this testing found) in the former YU.

Additionally, European charity is old used vehicles which is cheaper to give to Serbia than to dispose, expired medicines - even cheaper to send to Serbia, old clothes and shoes (keeps their landfills from overflowing). And all the while giving Serbian land to Muslims and non-Serbs and calling this humanitarian.

Capital knows no borders.Serbia should work hard to attract as many of those Russian petro-BILLIONS as humanly possible.Russia has a $150b trade SURPLUS with the rest of the world and needs to invest them wisely.China holds $1 TRILLION in reserves and Serbia should work hard to also attract as many of those as possible.Russia is on a buying spree and could very well end up owning a large part of Balkan assets.

Every country has the right to chose who they do business with. Only US thinks it can do what it wants. Serbia doesnt have to pay anything to keep Kosovo... Kosovo is Serbia and all we have to do is offer development plans to Russia for the same price as we would have to the states and US done in the balkans.

Let's see how much Belgrade will pay to save Kosovo. Crappy Russian investments in exchange for creepy political support.
Yuck.
Hey driver, turn the wheel, we are heading toward the East... again.
