Serbia must accelerate the implementation of standards in all areas of the economy in order to make its exports appealing to consumers in ALL markets(US-EU-CEFTA-Russia-China).The US is China's biggest export market because business is business.Serbia only exports a measley $6b a year compared to the Czech Republic's $80B.Russia is a market of 140m while the EU is a market of 500m and there is no need for false choices.Serbia needs to sell in ALL markets.
Of course there are advantages on this. Russia wants to help us, but it is the government that is not choosing to use this free trade agreement that they have. No country outside of the former USSR has this aside from us. As the Russian market booms, their consumption and demand booms. Therefore this is the ideal way to make our exports extremely increase, much more than we can if we were in the EU and not trading with Russia.
