Andrew and Victor I will answer your questions while you gentlemen refuse to answer mine. Andrew first there is no future for anyone based on lies and fraud and the Yugoslav breakup was one of the biggest lies of the 20th century hoisted on the world by NATO nations and their so called free press. The only free press that we have in the West belongs to those who own it? Ramsey Clark former attorney General of the United States writes “the real purpose of the deportation, sanctions, bombing and demonization of the Serbs "is to reduce all of the former Yugoslavia to the status of a U.S./NATO colony." That said gentlemen there is something called International Law and the Charter of the United Nations which gives every nation the right to protect its sovereignty and deal with internal issues? Since you don’t know gentlemen the “fundamental principle of international law is complementarity: the international tribunals complement - they don't supplant - the courts of nation states.” Victor since you live in Quebec you must know its history and the FLQ crisis of 1970 when fanatic’s nationalists wanted to separate Quebec from the union. Trudeau imposed the War Measures Act and sent in the Army. The Yugoslav government had every right under the UN Charter and International Law to do the same but was prevented in doing so by NATO. NATO’s agenda was to break the country up. Canadian ambassador to Belgrade in 1990-92 James Bissett states on many occasions that the claims and assertions about Kosovo and Yugoslavia were NATO lies. What does he gain by this statement; nothing other than that he wants to tell the truth. Unlike you Victor there are people who tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth but you Victor tell the truth by omission! Go to these links where Bissett speaks about the issue and suggests further readings [http://www.deltax.net/bissett/contact.htm] [http://web.ukonline.co.uk/pbrooke/p&t/Balkans/dmonkosovo/200101] [http://www.tenc.net/articles/bisset/bisset.htm ] FLQ like the Croatians and Kosovo Albanians terrorists used kidnappings, blackmail, bombings, plane high jacking and burnings of public property. Who are those that these terrorists target? They are innocent women and children Serb, Croat, Muslim or Albanian? They did not care who they killed my mother, my children, your children, police officers making a living; they cared not for them and their identity is immaterial as long as their ends to divide a peaceful society and sow hate are served. Victor and Andrew the history of Croat and KLA terrorism in Yugoslavia is well documented and who did what but intellectually lazy people want others to do their research for them. Belgrade signed five peace agreements to end the wars but the Muslims and Croats broke every one at the insistence of the Americans whose agenda was to divide the country and rule it as Ramsey Clarke states. The main war criminal in this deception was Richard Holbrook who stated “People keep asking whether Milosevic is going to deliver on the peace agreement," Holbrook said at Dayton. "It's impossible to answer that question right now. All we know is that he has delivered on everything.” Holbrook was working with Milosevic while he was stabbing him in the back. As for Srebrenica Victor why don’t you ask UN General Rose (Britain), General Nambiar (India), and General McKenzie (Canada) about atrocities in Sarajevo and Srebrenica? Their stories are very different. In a letter by Captain Thornton (Britain) who wrote to Time magazine from Vitez Bosnia about what happened to the 40% Serbian population from Srebrenica before the war even started. He writes that the Serbs were expelled; women raped, and as people fled Muslims shot wildly at the fleeing women and children. He also writes of the Serbian villages raze to the ground by Oric’s forces and this was long before the retaliation that you write about but provide no evidence. Now Victor lets deal with the Canadian Lawyers. Let me just name three Edward Greenspan Canada’s best criminal lawyer”(Toronto), writes in an editorial in the globe and Mail that the Milosevic Trial was a lynching”, Christopher Black (Toronto) and the Osgoode Hall Law School lawyers led by Michael Mandel and his colleagues write that “Mr. Milosevic has about as much chance of getting a fair trial from this court as he had of defeating NATO in an air war.” He also writes that “If there were an honest tribunal in The Hague, Mr. Milosevic would not be the only government leader on trial. NATO's leaders, from Bill Clinton and Jean Chrétien to Tony Blair and Jose Maria Aznar committed what the Nuremberg judgment called "the supreme international crime" -- resorting to war.” As for Bosnia Victor and Andrew of course the people should mend fences all of them are former Serbs divided by religion and you two are blinded by it.

Remind me again how it is the fault of NATO for the actions taken by all sides during the Balkan War. Stop deflecting the blame and begin addressing the issues at hand. It is the fault of those inhabiting the region, not the outside forces that caused the war and fall of Yugoslavia. Keep blaming everyone else and the dream of joining the EU will remain just that, a dream. The use of these nationalist themes and strict ethnic identifications are just tools of demobilization used by those in power, which has seemed to work in their benefit for almost two decades now. Face the reality of the past and move on to a more progressive future.

"I have often talk about a Commission on Truth, as Bishop Tutu initiated in Africa. It is the only way"
No one would welcome this more then the Serbian people. The simple fact of the matter is the crimes attributed to the Serbian people have consistently been found to have been greatly exaggerated. The reality is while Serbs did in fact commit crimes during the war, it was nothing like what we were accused of. However, people like Victor here still claim the same outrageous numbers that were used in the western media at the beginning of the war to justify demonizing Serbs.
The reality is that 30% of the causalities were Serbian and Serbs make up 34% of the population. What people need to be asking is why are the Croatian causalities so much lower then their respective percentage of the population? They even attacked their allies, completely destroying the poor town of Mostar.
Yet people like Victor still claim that Serbs engaged in a completely one sided abuse of the civilian population and that the Serbs deserved to have been cleansed from Croatia.

«The NATO tribunal at The Hague is described by many of Canada’s respected lawyers as a kangaroo court and a lynching.»

I live in Quebec and I have never heard about Canadian lawyers talking about the ICTY. Who are you talking about?

«The events at Srebrenica were tragic retaliation by one side against the killings of Serbs in villages surrounding Srebrenica by Naser Oric’s forces...»

And the killing around Srebrenica by Oric's troops was a retaliation for what Mladic and Arkan were doing in Bosnia, in Bratunac where 100s were killed, where more that 500 are still missing; for the killind of 200 men on Mount Vlasic by Darko Mrdja; in retaliation against Milan Lukic and Mitar Vasiljevic who burned alive more than 500 women and children in Visegrad.

If I understand you well, the trial against these war criminals was unjustified... only because you think that the ICTY is anti-Serbian! There's still 1000s of Serbs in Serbia and the RS who will never go on trial for what they did! Be happy!

Great idea Andrea but lets have a court that follows the rule of law due process and an independent judiciary. The NATO tribunal at The Hague is described by many of Canada’s respected lawyers as a kangaroo court and a lynching. The rules this court follows would not stand one day in any court in North America. This court falsifies the events that broke up Yugoslavia. Milosevic was not in power when others started the conflict using ultra nationalism as their vehicle. Izetbegovic and Tudjman for example were planning to secede as far back as 1972. Milosevic on the other hand was not a Serb nationalist but a Yugoslav and during his presidency Serbia remained a safe home for all nationalities throughout the conflict which cannot be said for the other republics. Milosevic’s speeches warned against this chauvinism and reflected the theme of “brotherhood and unity” while the others resurrected the fascist past. The evidence at trial of Serbian complicity was a myth. First they had no evidence on Kosovo so they concocted Croatia and Bosnia and those that organized the trial broke every international agreement to encourage the wars. Germany was first off the mark to break international protocol and the fatherland recognized Slovenia and Croatia and this was followed by others recognizing the illegal secession which went against the Yugoslav constitution. The whole process, the trial and the myth of responsibility, from the beginning of the conflict to today is fraud perpetrated by those who are most responsible for the Yugoslav tragedy. Furthermore, “the Milosevic trial produced not one iota of evidence that Milosevic knew about, or approved, or had the power to control the events at Srebrenica”. The events at Srebrenica were tragic retaliation by one side against the killings of Serbs in villages surrounding Srebrenica by Naser Oric’s forces and we know how the Hague tribunal treated Oric who has more blood on his hands than the Serbs. The blood that the Bush administration sheds daily in Iraq pales in comparison to the Balkan wars but Americans will not face justice since they are the ones who make the rules and you gentlemen who post here want to send more war criminals to a trial specifically created to whitewash NATO and Clinton administration responsibility for the tragic events in Yugoslavia and now in Kosovo. Let’s put the real criminal on trial in a court like the ICT or should the NATO leaders face a court similar to that of Robespierre during the French Revolution. One or the other method would force leaders like Clinton and Blair to reflect that the days of Rule Britannia are over.

I have often talk about a Commission on Truth, as Bishop Tutu initiated in Africa. It is the only way: all parties have to sit and talk about what happened in Bosnia, Croatia, during the war; what happened in Jasenovac during WW2...

It is possible also to move ahead, but all those who did not obtain justice for the father they lost, the mother, the child... it will take time to accept to live on the same street with their killer!

Victor I hope that you include all the Croatian war criminals in your comment. Also I would hope that you would include Clinton, Blair, Schrader, Chirac and the other NATO gangsters that impoverished the people of former Yugoslavia. How about you Victor did you give money like the good soldier you are “for homeland ready”. How about war criminals that paid and set up Croatian terrorist camps in Nanaimo and Prince George way back in 1972. How about telling us who killed Dr. Sovilj (a Serb who represented everything good about human nature) who lived in Vancouver who was a friend to all of usYugoslavs (Catholic, Orthodox or Muslim). Can you shed light on who killed him after a chess game at a local YMCA in the 1970’s or can you tell us who killed his Croatian wife while she was visiting her family in Croatia and searching for information about her husband’s killers? You know Victor Western Europe and North America as well as Australia love the Balkans. The more turmoil the more they love it. In the last ten years over a million mostly educated Yugoslavs from B & H, Serbia, Croatia and even some from Kosovo emigrated. Majority are professionals. It costs a Canadian taxpayer $200, 000 + to graduate a person from university. We in Canada got thousands of former Yugoslav university graduates at no cost to us at all other than one year of language training and a short period of subsidized living. What a windfall for us and what tragedies for all the new states in the Balkans who want to run with big dogs but are nothing more than poodles barking on a porch.
