The EU is talking about stability to the region; isn't this the greatest paradox of them all? The instability was originally caused by KLA and Albanian sepratists in Kosovo, so what have we decided to do?

Give them a country to keep them quiet. If I were you i would take a very real look at organisations such as Al qaeda and the KLA which are both run by the herion trade, it is common knowledge that europes herion trade is run by albanians! I know some Albanian drug dealers in my own city of Bristol and im not alone in this because it is not Serbs or macedonians or anyone who is taking the bulk of heroin onto europes streets.

I recently watched a documentary here in the Uk which followed some Albanian women trafficars (also delved in drugs) and the women were interviewed, guess what they said in the interview? Kosovo is the main pick up point for women.

There is little more to say because unlike Albania and Kosovo Serbia is on the verge of an economic boom regardless of Kosovo because investment is coming thick and fast just look at the latest building complexes in Belgrade. Organised crime is dying in Serbia and as people become richer there is less need to commit crime.

This isn’t about independence, it’s about Albania attempting to steal 15% of Serbia.

I actually agree. The Ahtisaari Plan gives everything the Serbs need, except sovereignty over the land.

1. K-Serbs will be unbelievably powerful in their districts.
2. Kosovo "sovereignty" will be all but a colony of the EU with very little say in its own affairs
3. In time the Serb communities can choose to either integrate with Kosovo or move closer to Belgrade.

The Albanians are sticking to it because it's their meal ticket to legally get into the international community. The fact that a good number of people are against it, like Self-Determination, means that some actually have read the fine print and note that Kosovo will be a very weak state. But hey, what do I care? They want independence so bad, here's your answer. The Serbs should also take this too because it's the only way Pristina will be forced to adhere to principles of multiethnicity and modernity. Beleive me, the rhetoric coming from Ceku about "Serbs have a place in Kosovo" is only for show to get international support. The Ahtisaari Plan makes these "rhetorical statements" legally binding.

While Kosovo and Albania do have problems with organized crime, by Western Standards Serbia, Bosnia and Montenegro are not much different. For example 70% of the cars on the road in Montenegro are stolen.

I personally just don't think its reasonable for us Serbs to demonize the Albanians for being drug dealers when we all know corruption is a daily part of life in Serbia as well.

Let's stick to the facts and not exaggerate. I do believe Serbia has a strong legal and moral argument to hold onto at least parts of Kosovo if not all of it. Let us focus on the issues that are truly important to us. You make some valid points, but they are so antagonistic that they distract rather then support your argument.
