"Republika Srpska" is an entity in within an independent state of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Main difference between Kosovo and RS is in the fact that Kosovars did not not committed ethnic cleansing in order to have Kosovo. Bosnian Serbs did. I do not dispute right of self governance to the Bosnian Serbs, but I also refuse to accept and recognize a Bosnian Serb state, which is as a product of ethnic cleansing. Mr. Dodik is a smart man, and he knows that by giving up the police, he will in reality give up the RS. Silajdzic knows that too. Lets se who will win on this one.

Luciano - i sort of agree. what i'd like to see is equality of treatment for all sides .i.e. if the albanians are allowed independence then the bosnian serbs should be allowed independence. if the albanians are not allowed in dependence, then likewise te bosnian serbs should not be allowed independence.

Very strange how the Serbs in Bosnia are expected to support a strong unitary state but the Albanians in Serbia/Kosovo are encouraged to separate. To an impartial observer such as myself it seems that the Dayton model for Bosnia has been working exceptionally well and should be adopted for the current Serbia/Kosovo situation.
