"Surprise" "Suprise" Serbia will annul any unilateral proclamation of Indipendence from Kosovar Albanians! He forgot the the Kosovar Albanians have annuled first the unilateral proclamation of the Serbian constitution.... This guy must be having bad dreams with open eyes. He still trying in vain to mislead the Serbian people that he is a fighter and will not give up Kosova. But the thing is that Europe and America are fed up with Kostunica and his policies. No one gives a damn what Kostunica think. Everyone knows about him. He has never been a real actor in the peace process between Serbs and Albanians and he will never be. He hasnt got the carisma of a real leader to take Serbia forward. I am not sure even if Russia really likes him at all even he is begging them. Really sad leader!

1.8 million k-albanians won´t shake up the world-order, they can declare whatever they wish to declare...

it´s another question whether anybody is going to violate the UN-Charter on behalf of them.

and the US will sooner or later understand that they cannot breach the law...

Is Kostunica referring to the same "full fledged" Serbian citizens in Kosovo, who were not allowed to vote for the same constitution he mentions?
Then since these same "full fledged" Kosovo residents were not allowed to vote for their own constitution, why should they follow that constitution? How are they full fledged citizens if they're deprived from having their own say in the country's supreme law, the constitution?
The US declared its independence based on the taxation without representation issues. Then abiding the supreme law of a country, to which you are note allowed to have no say whatsoever is more than enough of a reason to declare independence.

Ops , I made a mistake, he is addressing K-Serbs not K-Albanians, because he wants the land but without K-Alb. So Mr.Kostunica, as PM of your state , did you ever tryed to find, where are the killed albanians ( children among them ) hidden in mass graves in serbia, maybe next to your house, or you did not look after them, as a moderated comunist where have you been during the killing inocent albanian civilians from your army and paramiltants, did you speak then maybe, what can you tell about protection of very human rights about albanians, did you ever build one house , any house in Kosova, which, your beloved army tanks or psycho solders of yours destroyed them, did you ever spoke to any albanian , to say "SORRY" for what happend???,... or you do not have guts for that , becouse of the fact that you hate so much the albanians and you are so eager to keep them in Serbia, so by the time to finish where your Mr, Milosevic left.
So as an albanian from Kosova I say NO THANKS, Mr. Kostunica, I know very well how is to live under your rules, and serbian law,so I might have forgiven but never forgoten all the things that happend here and I am tired every 20 yrs to ask for something that is my GOD GIVEN RIGHT, so I want to be on my state KOSOVA , on my city and on my house, never to be worry that serbian army can or will destroy AGAIN, never to be worry that my kids will have the same fate of more than 2 Mil albanians during the serbian rule.
So Mr. Kostunica , be good PM , but in Serbia, becouse Kosova will have their own PM's, and Kosova pepole will have to dal with them , but never more with you.

Things are moving in the right direction for Kosovo. The Serbs get very nervous, even B92, who censures me automatically. What a sign of wickness!!!

There is no grounds or president to alter the territorial integrity of a soverign state. That's the end of the issue. As I've said here before, breeding a majority doesn't give you the right to steal a part of the country. If Russia veto's this I think Kosovo Albanians will be suprised by the reception a unilateral declaration of independance gets on the world stage. The US, who earlier said they would support such a declaration, doesn't seem as hot on the idea as more EU countries question giving Kosovo independance.

If the albanians in that region of Serbia are putting all their eggs in the US basket just let me give you a heads up. I'm a US citizen born and bred. I've been here all my life and have lived with our govt through numerous regimes. Our govt flip flops on policy and make promises it has no intension of keeping all the time. If the EU starts to waiver on supporting Kosovo albanians there is very little chance the US would support them. We can't risk already strained relations with many EU countries (and trading partners) for the sake of 1.5 million people that can't help us at all.

Our govt. will do what's right for themselves and no one else. By that I'm not saying that the kosovo albanians are in the right, frankly I don't think this should be an issue. You live in Serbia, you are a serbian citizen. My family came to the US from Italy, we are proud of our heritage but we are also Americans. We live here, work here, and raise families here. We'll never forget where we're from but we chose to be in America and we are Americans.

If your so proud of your heritage and want to claim to be albanians so much go back to albania. I've yet to see a poster here call themselves a Kosovar always an Albanian. Like I said there is no grounds here to give Kosovo independance. Sorry end of story.

the problem is, in the serbian province of Kosovo and Metohija, the serbian government right now has no capability to organize a referendum, it´s under the control of UNMIK, don´t you know?
so, besides there was no infrastuctural possibility, furthermore in Kosovo´s albanian part of society there is an atmosphere of hatred and violence, and all those Albanians who would take part, would endanger themselves, since there are radical fanatics in Kosovo who up to the present day threat to kill every " traitor ".

so, there can´t be a serious doubt about the fact, that Albanians could take part, if they left the danger-zone, where serbian authorities have no jurisdiction.

Then since these same "full fledged" Kosovo residents were not allowed to vote for their own constitution, why should they follow that constitution? How are they full fledged citizens if they're deprived from having their own say in the country's supreme law, the constitution?
