Of course Serbia is co-operating with the Hague. All Serbs know that Mladic's freedom is causing damage to Serbia's international reputation. The problem is no one can find him and this should not mean that no one is trying

okay -- here is the deal, as if it really needs to be said: mladic will "suddenly" be captured, and quickly extradicted the SECOND there is the political will in belgrade to have it done. and who dared to post here that no one in the whole world has seen him for years and years?? or am i hallucinating? mladic and his "friends" were spotted more times lounging around the finest restaurants and clubs of belgrade than you can shake a stick at, only a few brief years ago. yes, under the "democratic" govt. there, or whatever they call it.

with karadzic it is perhaps a tiny bit more complicated, probably involving old monasteries in montenegro (?) and the cooperation of nato, eu and local authorities. again, there is no political will, and all of the "oh-my-gosh-we-just-missed-him-but-we'll-get-him-really-soon" sorties are just one big load...

here is the deal about milosevic -- serbia never gave him up out of the kindness of their heart,or because it was "right" or they had finally decided to de-natzify, but because a very pragmatic djindjic knew damned well it was milosevic in the hague or western money and support dries up. yes, a kind of moral extortion. i admire djindjic for finally doing the right thing (kostunica nearly had a stroke over it)-- and in so doing djindjic paid the ultimate price.

please -- wake up, serbia! your stubborn and blind support of war crimes and war criminals always leads back to bite you in the ass. the best in serbia must take over the leadership from the scum and demagogues and truly embark on a better future, instead of SOS.

i personally don't want to hear one more word about mladic or karadic or any other nazi war criminals until they are safely in their cages in the hague, where they belong!
