Congratulation Serbia, … one step closer to EU? …..one step closer to the advantages and benefits of the western globalisation process? ….and personally one step closer to a simplified invitation of my Serbian friends, without my invitation letter (25€), without visa fee (35€), without waiting times of 2*4 hours in front of the embassy and without an overall duration time of 4 weeks ??

Luciano, no one is trying to stop anyone from working - just asking them to do it LEGALLY. This agreement should make it easier for Serbs to work legally in the EU, and to earn an honest living for themselves and their families.

Until Serbia is actaully a full member of the EU this agreement is a bad deal for Serbs. Why should 150k hard working Serbs with potentially an additional 1 million unemployed/underemployed Serbs be denied the right to earn a decent living for themselves and their families? The EU works great as an ECONOMIC zone and Serbs need to understand how to take full advantage of the economic benefits without engaging in political nonsense with the EU bureaucrats at this point in time.Remittances worth billions of euros are much more important for the Serbian economy than easier travel for certain groups of Serbs.Give a diplomatic passport to anyone who absolutely must travel at this time.Do you see the Mexican government wanting 10 million of its citizens who work illegally in the US to be forcibly repatriated?$45 BILLION on an annual pours into Mexico from its citizens in the US-that is SERIOUS money folks!
