Finnally some good news. It has took to long, and time has been lost, but this is the best outcome. New elections would only mean losing more time, and the end results wouldn't be to much different.
Glad that the democratic parties finally choose to set aside their diferences to form a goverment. They should have worked together right from the start, and formed this goverment right after the elections.

So after almost 4 months of a leaderless Serbia, the politicians strike the same deal they talked about at the beginning. They should be ashamed that they wasted all this time and money, and all they gained was an embarrassing step backwards with a Radical as head of Parliament and a weakening of the "democratic" side.

All Serbian political parties must look at Northern Ireland. After years of murder and bloodshed they have finally put the differences aside. They are now working together, as one, to the benefit of Ireland.
Serbia must do the same.

Round & round it goes, how big of a mess, nobody knows. Churchill said "democracy is the worst form of government, except for everything else". Constitutional Monarchy anyone?

i am shocked and i can´t believe it.

everything was up for the right government at crucial time and then seselj screws it all up. vucic was on wednesday in den haag, seselj said no because the radicals didn´t get the defence-ministry. as if a secretary of defence can declare war on his own.

kostunica didn´t have much possibilities then to take the cheaper solution.

kosovo as main agenda and serbia has a government with ds-quislings. i can´t believe it!

DS and G17 expect Nikolic to comply? Wishful thinking. There was probably some behind the scenes deal between the Radicals and Kostunica -- Nikolic for speaker in return for Kostunica remaining PM. Nikolic's appointment also gives Russia more reason to support Serbia.

what a dilemma for Mr. Tadic's Democrats.

do they negotiate with Kostuncia's right-wingers or go to new elections to take advantage of DSS's decision to show it's true colors as the "Radicals lite".

in any new round of parliament elections, the DSS could fall to below 10 percent of the vote, while DS should gain from this.

the Radicals would either hold firm or lose votes because of Nikolic has shown this week that he doesn't have the ability, responsibility nor desire to lead the country.

Mr. Tadic should use DSS's weakened position to demand what Democratic Party voters want, and call new elections if the DSS disagrees.
