Festim, I am glad you see things this way. Of course there are bad apples in any group, but you are right to imply that a bomb by the KLA would only strengthen Serbian extremists and seriously erode any credibility it has to bring about a peaceful and democratic Kosovo.

The bombing goes against our interests, we won't cause ourself damage!

KLA, maybe? Could also (although far-fetched) be Serbian extremists, but I doubt it. Regardless, it shows that the KPS has been doing its job well in protecting the general population from extremist actions. I think this is definitely one point where the UN mission and PISG have built a respectable local capability in Kosovo to make sure that the citizens of Kosovo be safe. Although the incident could have been an individual, isolated incident, I am more inclined to presume that it is the KPS's good and growing credibility that made it a target. Of course, there is work to be done in protecting Serb and other minorities in Kosovo, but it must not be ignored how much work and progress the KPS has done to this end.

The present overlords in Kosovo are very quickly going to become the new bogeymen as far as the KLA is concerned. This situation reminds me of lyrics in a song by the British rock group THE WHO-"Here comes the new boss looks a lot like the old boss"
