Some FACTS that i think is good to remind to the Serb dreamers in here.
THe US and FRENCH ambassadors praised the development of Kosova and the will of the Kosovar government to improve the lives of the minorities.
ALl the leaders of the Minorities in KOsova except the serbs, approved the Ahtisaari plan and were for Independence.
So please do not say that all nonalbanians in Kosova are against Independence because thats not true at all. Only the Serb minority is against the independence but all other minorities are for Independence and of course the ALBANIAN MAJORITY is for independence also.
Your Russian ambassador didnt even open his mouth, he stayed so quiet because he found himself in a very bad position because until that day he was saying that the situation in Kosova was very bad ( he said this based on the propaganda of Kostunica&co) but then in that day he saw the reality that the situation in kosova is much much better than reported by the dirty and out of date propaganda of Kostunica.
Kosova will be independent and all the Kosovar citizens will be happy. The SERB MINORITY in Kosova will be happy also because they will get the chance to live in the newest country in the world-KOSOVA.
I understand that a lot of serbs in here are still dreaming, but all i can do is wish you enjoy dreams.
THanks

Toni said "And me like Albanian from Kosovo I am not willing to live under Serbian State again "

you´ll realize that it is not yours to decide that. even the US can´t help you on that, ...as long as the UNSC doesn´t make that present to you, there won´t be a toy-republic kosov-aaaa... :)
you just don´t understand that what Serbia is offering, openly, as I have read it today, is so much, that you won´t feel any effect of serbian rule, except at the borders.
it´s your choice, be smart and accept that it is, and always was serbian territory, or what would be quite silly, face a dark future in poverty and underdevelopement.
it seems that the main problem is, that more than the half of those k-albanians is younger than 25 years, and maybe just too young to understand whats best for themselves.

Is it not funny that 95% of the UK citizens wish that the k-AL.would leave the UK.You just need to look in the local newspaper and the various crimes commited to find the reason why.Do you not sometimes wonder why so many people like/trust, or want to be assosiated with k.a. people??

Jelena,
Good try to immitate me but but the facts are stubborn. I must admit that you put a smile in my face by immitating my comments. It was a good copy and paste but again it is all about living the reality on the ground and not dreaming with open eyes. Kosova will never be part of Serbia again, trust me! It is not just a wish of mine or of the Albanians whom live in Kosova. I am originally from Albania but I am also a resident in the UK. It is all about the history of Kosova, the ethnic cleansing that happened in Kosovo by the Slobodan Miloshevic regime. It cannot be worst than ethnic cleansing orchastrated by a state and in our case by Serbian state. Many Kosovar Albanians families were forced to leave their homes. Whole world knows about it unless someone is blind and deaf. You can't hide the facts and manipulate the history all the life. Now is time for the truth to come and the truth is Kosova is independent and everyone who wants to live in it is wellcome providing that do their duties first which I have already explained to you earlier on as you tried very hard to copy it. Not a bad job though)))))

When you talking about Kosovo you had witness everything what happened over there since 1989 and after you will know why Albanians don’t like to live for any price under Serbian rule and why Kosovo Serbians would not like to live in the Independent Kosovo.
Because if you were Serbian in Kosovo you had all the privileges that somebody can get.
And Albanians can’t live under Serbian State because they had all the discrimination in every part of the live social, cultural, economic etc.
And me like Albanian from Kosovo I am not willing to live under Serbian State again and you should know until you have a discriminated people in your state you are going to have a problems. No meter from the state you live in Serbia, Kosovo.

Just a genuine appeal to those Albanians that play the victims from the morning to night. With that kind of tactics you will not get anywhere rather you will damage yourselves. It is true that many Serbs live in enclaves in Kosovo. The issue is how to find a realistic solution. Bearing in mind the reality on the ground, it would be nonsense not to think that Kosovo is part of Serbia and threatening that Kosovo will be emptied of Serbs should Kosovo become independent. One thing you need to remember that in a democratic and internationally recognized state called SERBIA no one will be forced to live in Kosovo. For those who wish to live in Kosovo there are two ways either self-inflicting by isolating yourselves or participating into the functional democratic SERBIAN institutions to promote your rights and live up with the new reality. You have to bear in mind that in a democratic country there are rights and duties and you must do your duties first as a loyal citizen of SERBIA!

Sidi & Stan,

yes I think we are all aware that Reuters has its own reporters the Serbian province of Kosovo & Metohija who like to add their pennys worth note the footnote
"dditional reporting by Fatos Bytyci, Shaban Buza"

Sidi,
it is strange to think that you use the quotes you do to support your view for a supposed independent multi-ethnic entity - I think the UN ambassadors who fully appreciate the interdependence of the world and the concept of living together harmoniously despite our past will have taken note of the comment;

"We hope they will verify what the Serbs did here... We can't live with them any more."

- hardly a vote of confidence in wanting to live together and move on - let alone assurance of providing human rights of all non-Albanians!

There will be no new resolution and as such 1244 still stands - the US need to understand that if anyone is pouring fuel on the fire it will be those who disregard the UN resolution that they signed upto, the Helsinki Final act as well as the UN Charter that ensures the legal framework for territorial integrity and Sovereignity. Now if the US is happy to lose all credibility and rip up all that it has signed up to well that is it's perogative but it really will be the death nell for international respect of the US !!!

Would u not be pissed off when a delegation travels to your crumbling town just to show the world you came there and already have mind made up? this was a show put on by the UN to show they came here and saw how everyone lived. The Gentlemen who lost 40 members of his family said he cannot live again with Serbs. So by expelling all Serbs from Kosovo will bring back his family members solve all of the problems of Kosovo. I feel bad he lost so many family members but to allow hate to remain in his heart only gives power to those who took away his family. I am sure this will be looked at in the UN and we will all see what well happen.,

EA - again you demand loyalty to independent Kosovo from those Serbs you have yet failed to ethnically clean from Kosovo.

Weasel words - indicative of the future you have planned; those who don't agree with you will be driven out.

Ethnic cleansing is wrong - it was wrong for Serbs to do it and it was (and is) wrong for Albanians to do it.

The US, EU, NATO etc should remember that it is documented that the term 'ethnic cleansing' was first used to describe the driving out of Serbs from Kosovo, and that they (the US, EU, NATO etc) are now becoming complicit helping finish a process that pre-dates Milosevic. There are decent Serbs who left Kosovo long ago because their lives were made unbearable - long before Milosevic. For years under 'brotherhood and unity' Serbs paid taxes to develop Kosovo - but there are never any thanks for that. Milosevic sold out the Serbs for his own career. Because of Milosevic only Serbs are blamed and yet the the group that really did not want to be part of a multiethnic society were the KAlbanians.

Congratulations to the Albanians however - it looks like you have been clever enough to manipulate the west to give you what you want. The evidence is that Rice and her side-kicks are daft enough not to see that. Those who signed 1244 guaranteeing territorial integrity of Serbia were lying on your behalf.

The concept of multi-ethnicity gives them no moral justification; an independent Kosovo will be Albanian - it will be much less multiethnic than Serbia. Multi-ethnicity is further reduced by the impossibility of an independent Kosovo to have any real control of the predominantly Serb areas - a split would be a necessary and inevitable consequence of independence.

Certainly the KAlbanians deserve to run their own lives. Multi-ethinc integration within Serbia is unlikely for a (very, very) long time, so although while under the moral argument it would be the most to be desired (with everybody becoming friends) pragmatism does require a large degree of separation. However, the west should consider other serious possibilities - the primary one is full autonomy but without statehood. To give statehood is to reward ethnic cleansing.

It is also a permission for other places to move towards independence and sets a very dangerous precedent.

"The delegation is welcome here," said Arsim Shehu, who lost 40 members of his extended family. "We hope they will verify what the Serbs did here. After what the Serbs did to us, we can't live with them anymore."

I sounds like this Shehu guy would be all for the ethnic cleansing of Serbs from Kosovo. He does not say he can't live in Serbia he says he can't live with Serbs. Serbs face a death sentence in an independent Kosovo and Shehu's words prove that.

I don’t see any difference between the two?

“As the UN mission members were touring the northern part of Orahovac inhabited by 400 Serbs that remained in the town, women and children blocked their way demanding that the delegation see the only street where Serbs in Orahovac can move freely, and an improvised cemetery where they bury their loved ones.”

And the other article

“The 15-member delegation of the U.N. Security Council, on a fact-finding mission to the Albanian-majority province, beat a hasty retreat from the crumbling Serb quarter of Orahovac as police held back a crowd of angry, jeering Serbs.”

With exception of course that Sidi’s version neglects to mention the reason they were protesting.

Funny how Sidi edited out

“Up to 200,000 Serbs and other ethnic minorities fled after the war, and the 100,000 Serbs who remain rely on 16,500 NATO-led peacekeepers for protection.”

Yes, lets all trust Reuters, CNN, and Co. cause they ALWAYS tell the truth and nothing but the truth. Like in IRAQ, IRAN, AFGANISTAN, etc....

Kosovo is a paradise and everything is rosy there. Thats why Serbs get beaten for pumping gas in their vehicles (happend 3 days ago) children get shot for swimming in a lake, and farmers get their heads chopped off for working their crops. Not to mention their churches and monasteries get destroyed, burned down, and urinated on (videos available ALL OVER youtube.com for you to see). Sidi, how come you don't see those videos on CNN, FOX, BBC???? Thats funny. I watched all these networks for a glimpse of the 12,000 Serbian women and children who have been cleansed from Kosovo and are unable to return to their homes, but they were nowhere to be seen. They only chose to show footage of 70 odd protesters in Belgrade. One has to wonder is this really reporting the news? or simply MISLEADING the truth?

I think the answer is crystal clear.

This news story is severely different from what really happened. Why is B92 doctoring the facts? Here is what really went on in Rahovec, according to AP and Reuters:

"ORAHOVAC, Serbia (Reuters) - U.N. ambassadors were jeered by Serbs and welcomed by Albanians on a helicopter tour of
Kosovo on Saturday before they decide on a Western-backed plan to grant the province independence from Serbia.
The 15-member delegation of the
U.N. Security Council, on a fact-finding mission to the Albanian-majority province, beat a hasty retreat from the crumbling Serb quarter of Orahovac as police held back a crowd of angry, jeering Serbs.

he envoys, led by Belgian U.N. ambassador Johan Verbeke, left Orahovac for the ethnic Albanian village of Mala Krusa, where they were shown the orchard where 116 Albanian men and boys were killed by Serb forces in March 1999.

"The delegation is welcome here," said Arsim Shehu, who lost 40 members of his extended family. "We hope they will verify what the Serbs did here. After what the Serbs did to us, we can't live with them anymore."

So, in other words, Serbs made yet another horrible impression in the eyes of the world. Now the delegation goes back to New York and one way or another declared supervised independence for Kosova! Meanwhile the Serbs can keep on jeering.

Just a genuine appeal to those Serbians that play the victims from the morning to night. With that kind of tactics you will not get anywhere rather than damage yourselves. It is true that many Serbs lives in enclaves in Kosovo. The issue is how to find a realistic solution. Bearing in mind the reality on the ground, it would be nonsense to still ask Kosova be part of Serbia and threating that Kosova will be empted of Serbs should Kosova become independent. One thing you need to remember that in a democratic Kosova no one will be forced to live in Kosova. For those who wishes to live in Kosova there are two ways either self-inflicting by isolating yourselves or parcitipating into the functional democratic Kosova institution to promote your rights and live up with the new reality. You have to bear in mind that in a democratic country there are rights and duties and you must do your duties first as a loyal citizen of an independent Kosova.

If that's true-the doctoring of what hreally happened- then I might have to reconsider revisiting this website and change my opinion that it is a reliable source of news.

Can you provide the link to the AP and Reuters reports? I can't locate them on these news agencies' websites. Until I can verify for myself, I shall have to take what you wrote with a huge pinch of salt.

And what would you expect the Serbs "from the crumbling Serb quarter" of Orahovac? WElcome the UN with flowers and praises? These people are living in cages and in fear for their lives.

Sidi, you're usually one of the first to scream Hell, fire, and brimstone when trying to justify Albanian anger, so what makes you think the sentiments of Serbs are any less?

Matthew

pre 17 godina

I sounds like this Shehu guy would be all for the ethnic cleansing of Serbs from Kosovo. He does not say he can't live in Serbia he says he can't live with Serbs. Serbs face a death sentence in an independent Kosovo and Shehu's words prove that.

Bob

Sidi & Stan,

yes I think we are all aware that Reuters has its own reporters the Serbian province of Kosovo & Metohija who like to add their pennys worth note the footnote
"dditional reporting by Fatos Bytyci, Shaban Buza"

Sidi,
it is strange to think that you use the quotes you do to support your view for a supposed independent multi-ethnic entity - I think the UN ambassadors who fully appreciate the interdependence of the world and the concept of living together harmoniously despite our past will have taken note of the comment;

Now if the US is happy to lose all credibility and rip up all that it has signed up to well that is it's perogative but it really will be the death nell for international respect of the US !!!

who really thinks he cannot live with Serbs anyomore, is free to leave Serbia. it´s a free country, except those areas where Albanians threaten the Serbs, and force them to live in enclaves...

but all those who are going to sober up, will realize that they will have it better living in Serbia and with autonomy, than in Albania, without anything but poverty and the kanun.

Jelena,
Good try to immitate me but but the facts are stubborn.

Is it not funny that 95% of the UK citizens wish that the k-AL.would leave the UK.You just need to look in the local newspaper and the various crimes commited to find the reason why.Do you not sometimes wonder why so many people like/trust, or want to be assosiated with k.a. people??

You Serbs are so hypocritical… you say this abou Kosovo, but say exaclty the opposite about so-called “Republika Srpska” in Bosnia!

If the world were a just place, Srpska should be EXTINGUISHED and reincoroprated to SARAJEVO’S BOSNIA and Kosovo should be a FULLY INDEPENDENT COUNTRY WITH THE BORDERS OF YUGOSLAVIAN CONSTITUTION OF 1974!

THe US and FRENCH ambassadors praised the development of Kosova and the will of the Kosovar government to improve the lives of the minorities.
ALl the leaders of the Minorities in KOsova except the serbs, approved the Ahtisaari plan and were for Independence.
