BTW, Victor is in fact a French Canadian, not a Croat.
I think he means well, but can only view issues in Black & White, Good or Evil terms, so the complexity of the Balkans confuses him.

"Don't you see the difference between stealing an apple and committing a genocide on civiians as the Serbs did during the Bosnian War."
It wasn't "stealing and apple" it was murder and torture of Serbs. Glavas and his men tortured Serbs, killed them, and threw their bodies in a river. There are pictures of dead Serbs floating in Croatia's rivers, some bodies floated into Serbia, just like WWII.
As for Naser Oric, he bragged about killing Serbs with explosives and knives, and proudly showed decapitated Serbs he and Srebrenica Muslim men had killed.
It's interesting how you defend Muslim terrorists and Croat torturers.

Jovan,
If a Croat gets 6 months for a crime, it's because he desserves aonly six month! Oric got 2 years because the judges determined according to the facts that he desserved only 2 years. And people like Krstic got 43 because he participated in a criminal enterprise to commit a genocide. Don't you see the difference between stealing an apple and committing a genocide on civiians as the Serbs did during the Bosnian War.

Victor, you really disappoint me...
didn´t you know that those, indicted by the Hague, are not in Serbia, and above that, they are not serbian citizens...they are citizens of the serb Republic within the Bosnian con-federation...
do you ignore that deliberately or do you just not know???
in anyway...your comment is disappointing...
ps: don´t brag around with the croatin justice system...worst criminals are being sentenced to 6 months in jail...
that doesn´t really look like the croat government shows responsibility... better remember that, before pointing your fingers on others!

Glavas and 6 other were indicted. At least, Croatia went ahead and has indicted a general and soldiers for war crimes. I am still waiting for Serbia to do it. To stop Mladic and indict him for the bosnian genocide. How come Serbia does not indict its war criminals???

Victor is a Croat?
interesting, that would explain, why he wrote so much nonsense about Kosmet...
maybe he only did not notice this article...otherwise, pointing with the finger on others while staying calm if oneself is meant... he would only be regarded as a coward.
probably, he will give his view to this. at least I hope so.

It's funny to see the following headlines all posted by B92 in a row:
1. Australian Serbs to defend Captain Dragan
2. Croatia indicts Glavaš for war crimes
3. Bosnia: Two Muslims arrested on war crimes charges
4. Macedonia pair begin Hague trial
What does this say? Simple: nearly all of the former Yugoslav republics have had their hands in some form of violation against human rights. My initial comment here is to show that certain people proclaim themselves to be speaking out on behalf of human rights violations, ethnic cleanings, and crimes against humanities. All of these deeds are monstrous, and it is noble for anyone to not only speak out against them, but to work to prevent future episodes like these from occurring. However, if we are going to speak out against them, we need to speak out against ALL of them, wherever they occur. Simply citing violations committed by Serbs against others is not enough. One must also speak out when violations are committed against Serbs by others too.
I don't want to make this into another "I'm better/you're not" rant, but some people on this site are pretty predictable on the news they will comment on, but silent when the same type of news occurs elsewhere.
As a final note, it should also be mentioned that while the most egregious example of Mladic and Karadzic being sheltered by elements within Serbia continue, they are arresting and indicting many of their own, as is being done in Croatia and Bosnia. Result? Each side is coming to terms with their past, but still have obstacles to pass.

Glavas wasn't as bad as Tomislav Mercep, who ordered and committed many more murders and crimes.
The Croats are coming down on Glavas due to politics, I think. He was a powerful man in Eastern Slavonia, but he crossed other Croat politicians who wanted him out of the way, thus they dragged up crimes from 15 years ago.
