Polt: UN SC started work on Kosovo resolution

after all it´s quite simple. does the US want a strong ally or do they want to create an opponent?
but, Mr.Polt tell your President, ...Serbia won´t let KiM go. and better think of whether Serbia or a cripple-republic, only recognized by the US and some satellites, will have more importance in the region.
the answer is certainly more than clear.

Desperate times require desperate measures - the pro-Albanian camp are showing huge signs of panic trying to reassure the ethnic-Albanians that all is well and they will definetly get all they want!!!

However, the reality is that Ahtisaari's plan for the dismemberment of a UN recognised state has little support and it is waning!

Chill out guys! Soon you will see how Kosova will prosper as an independent country integrated in European Uniond and NATO. That is the logic of living in the real democratic world. Are you going to join Kosova in European Union and Nato or will you stay where you are?

- funny how ICG are now contemplating alternatives. I guess when Ahtisaari let the cat out of the bag that "no other alternatives had been discussed" at the UN SC last week he must have suddenly felt the floor under his seat disappear. Now ICG are considering even what was ruled out - I guess it is only time before we see an article by James suggesting compromise and autonomy - they would probably suggest is what they intended all along - when I see that I will finally stop commenting, writing to my MP, MEP, FCO and PM as the UK will have finally seen the light of their folly!

You guys forget, IF that is if the proposal doesnt go thru SC we will declare Independence with or with out SC resolution, and tell me.. you Serbs, what then your just gonna "try" invade Kosova, hehe be my guest.. just dont forget your passport, have a nice day!

What's the rush with independence? What makes albanians so special, that they should recieve what they want immediately? I don't think hasty solution is in anyones best interest, these things takes time, negotiations, compromises, and in the end hopefully all sides are satisfied.To albanians in Kosovo, all your problems(weak economy,corruption, unemployment etc.) wont go away immediately when you get independence. Who are you gonna blame then, serbs again, Usa, Eu? Care for what you wish you might just get it...

Woow Princip and Jovan surely have their heads dug up in the sand. The guy is stating that a resolution is in the making, and you two are still dreaming. You will be in for one very sore year ahead. And no the USA does not want Serbia as an ally! Albanians have proven themselves much more valuable to the Americans by participating from the start in both Bosnia, Afghanistan, and Iraq, and vociferously supporting US efforts in these places as well as world wide. Serbia on the other hand counts for nothing. It is an antagonistic pariah state with a monster's image in the West. It has time and again failed to aprehend mass murderers Karadzic and Mladic, which are still in hiding and considered heroes in Serbia. So no the USA does not want the likes of you on its side!

read the polt wood interview! you dont have to like it, but they tell it like it is, no need to interpret it, they spell it out this is whats going to kosovo ie ( the contact group are united n aware, including russia). i think they have a beter idea about the law and 1244 and how it was put together and how to make it happen weather u believe it or not is not the issue.

You are playing a dangerous game in Europe. The winnign team will be Al-Queda in Kosovo as in Spain it was after 2004, 11-M.

there´s not much room left, so i guess that´s why a few days ago he suggestet (wiener zeitung, austrian state-owned newspaper) some kind of balkan conference.

because of the correction of greater croatia, the split up of rest-bosnia, rs+serbia, and dividing kosovo and macedonia.

this and "hot news" (serb military will enter kosovo this summer) shows a little panic at our friends from the nation building front!

I guess you might be able to enlighten me on when this so called resolution will be passed seeing as they have been working on this predetermined, one-sided plan of Ahtisaari's for the last 2 years now !!!

Regarding the US I think they best concentrate their efforts in resolveing the mess in Iraq rather then excacerbate the last of their credibility on forcing through such folly as an independent "Kosovar" entity that has no historical, economic or ethnic validity!!!
