Having been an international protectorate for 8 years, Kosovo is not part of Serbia now, except for in an historical or cultural sense. We are all lucky History and culture, however, do not need borders to define them. People of French or German background, just for example, live all around the world and still think of themselves as French or German. Mexican churches in Arizona thrive, though they are not in Mexico. Even Buddhist temples in downtown Toronto are active, lively cultural centers. All culture and history need to survive is respect - and that respect comes from tolerance. NOT from arguing about borders, and CERTAINLY not from violence - from either side.

What Hoon says is ridiculous. Albanians and Kosovo Serbs get some stuff, although the stuff given to Serbs can be taken away by majority vote of the parliament of Kosovo, but Belgrade is given absolutely nothing at all and therefore Serbia can never accept the plan.

They need our permission to give up Kosovo, they cannot do it any other way. Russia is behind principles and behind Serbia's stand, so Kosovo, or at least not its entirety, will not be amputated from Serbia.

“It would run against any political, geographic and economic logic to create a black hole in the heart of Europe,” Hoon concluded.

Mr.Hoon... you HAVE ALREADY CREATED a black hole in KiM, by helping the kla-terrorist-movement to gain control over serbian territory.
...reading these lines I simply ask myself whether this man knows what he is talking about...
