Achilleas, don't you understand sarcasm?
Yeah Serbia is democratic, they respect minorities, but sometimes they ethnically cleanse them.

Of course Serbia is democratic, why do you think its so hard for Serbia’s politicians to even agree to form a government? Serbia certainly has a larger number of viable parties then other democracies like the US, which only has two major parties. I would even go so far as to say Serbia’s parliamentary system is actually vastly superior to the US two party system and electoral college, which is in reality grossly outdated. At least the US and Serbia don’t have a hereditary House of Lords or anything truly silly like the UK has. Now ask yourself who has the more modern form of democracy? Serbia has both communists and capitalists!

However, this is very interesting, we have here at least 3 competing sects of Muslims in Serbia alone, throw in the Wahhabists and you have 4. If you have Kosovo gaining Independence, its possible for the Presevo Albanian Muslims to possibly split, much like the Bosniak Muslims there. That would make 5. How typically Balkan! Is this the possible new beginning to an ethnicity in Serbia? Will we know have Bosnian Muslims (Bosniaks) and Serbian Muslims (Serbiaks?!?!?)? Remember I said it first!

I do think it might be potentially dangerous if the rifts turn violent. The Middle East itself seems to be dividing along religious affiliation. It will be very interesting to see what develops in the region.

Not sure about democratic, as such, but Serbia is a lot more minority faith-tolerant than most places in the Balkans certainly, and maybe even in Europe. Fractioning of religious movements is much, much more common than consolidation - so it's not that big a deal unless religiosos with a non-spiritiual agenda choose to make a big deal of it. A peaceful Novi Pazar in a peaceful Serbia is a great, great place to visit. Good for the soul. There is also some beautiful countryside and there are some very, very hospitable people living within an hour's drive from Novi Pazar. I wish there were an international airport there.

Please don't compare Serbia to Greece. It's like comparing apples to...apples. They're both the same.
Serbia democratic? Wow, have you been living under a rock for the past 20 years?

Serbija not democratic?
How so?
If any kind of "mufti", should
show up in, lets say, "European" Athens,
he would be burnt in fire by, Archiepiskop Christodoulos
himself!!

Serbs dont bye the lies they sell you.

They try to hold you back.

As Slavoj Zizek has stated,
Serbs are the more democratic nation in balkans.

Thats a fact.
