I cant wait until we put all of this aside and realise that all of the top politicians and their puppets, from all sided, are guilty, not the people. I myself am of mixed marrage as well as many of the Yugoslavs I know and they are all good people. One day goodness will prevail in the Balkans and we will focus on all of the similarities between us rather then the very few differences. We have to look at the similarities between us, and find common ground because we are all very very similar.

RE: Kadijevic

He was a true Yugoslav, he is half Croatian and half Serbian.

Part of his indeciseness was a combination of inconsistent US policy which at first supported the sovereignty of Yugoslavia in which the US secretary of state at that time communicated, Jim Baker under George Bush Senior.

The second part of his indecisevness was the split in the Yugoslav federation government, Milosevic used it to his advantage as he had support of 4-8 rotating seats of the federation-Kosovo, Serbia, Montenegro and Vojvodina. It is a tragedy that Milosevic is certainly guilty of and he should have at least tried to negotiate with the other Yugoslav republics. Of course, this was very difficult with the pressure exerted particularly by the foreign Minister Hans Deitrich Genscher of Germany under the Kole Government.

Some wonder if he was some kind of double agent or traitor, else why would the U.S. consult him and not prosecute?

Only if he is doing something in their interest, has given them sensitive information, or has connections which he uses to push U.S. agenda in the Balkans, would the U.S. use him.

As much as i am against arrests of people that SUPPORTED Yugoslavia, as i still consider myself a Yugoslav, if a person is guilty of a war crime, it doesnt matter who or what he is, and who the people that he is commiting crimes against are.

If memory serves me correct, i thought it was KADIJEVIC who was an old time Communists that had the Star tatooed on his heart, and would first step aside, rather than be responsible for civil strife?

A very indesisive man who didn't want to be a part of the breakup...

Anybody remember, or is my memory fading away??

Arrest warrants should also be issued to Stipe Mesic and Ante Markovic of the former Yugoslav federation who gave their orders to former JNA General Kadijevic. Former VP Croatian Ante Markovic ordered the JNA to secure the Slovenian Borders.
