My answer to Princip, the UK and Miller from the US: Are you going to revive a moth-eaten policy of the past:"divide and rule", already denounced by the world community, including your respective Governments? Or, it was denounced in words, but not in deeds? Is it?

M.Miller - aren't you overlooking the slight glitch of Kosovo actually being legally and geographically part of Serbia? It's not anyone's to hand over to anyone else.
You HAVE to have the approval of the sovereign state. Otherwise Northern Ireland; California; the Basque country to name but a few could all be separated from their sovereign states.

Well you say they are secular only when it suits there needs. I remember when they would not allow serbs to have there reconized holiday but only after there were allowed to observe Serbian holidays. Remember Mr Miller you still work in Kosovo. Have to be neutral in your comments or you will be branded as an Pro Serb like me.

Miller is so amusing.

Miller, does that mean the US will also grant California, New Mexico and Texas independence? After all that belonged to Mexico at one time.

Sorry Princip but USA is for stability in Balkans.
Victor, I worked in Kosovo/a and there is no truth to any turmoil between muslims and christians. I find K-Albanias to be the most secular nation. Also I have read the history and never religion was any problem for Albanians through out their history.
The best solution to the problem is for Srbia to gain its Independence from Kosovo/a once and for all.

I think that you are both giving too much credit to a strategy (or perhaps I am under estimating). I think that it is being rushed despite everything because the powers that be genuinely believe that they can get it through. Or perhaps just wishful thinking, which will also have serious consequences in relations with Russia and other nations.

The USA does not want to bring peace to the Balkans, but rather - to bring three new military bases to Kosovo : Bondsteel, Montenth and Slatina + turmoil between Muslims and Christians.

Princip, UK

looks like some are purposefully rushing this through for a failure! I wonder why? So much for the US wanting to bring stability to the balkans!
