It is sad that Belgrade tries to manipulate Kosovo serbs and make them think that as soon you enter Kosovo someone will kill you if you are a Serb.

I would also be afraid to some degree but the reality is different and no one would kill a Serb in Kosovo just because he is a Serb. If it is note someone who have any old dispute and that person happens to be Albanian.

2001 I sat in an Albanian coffee shop in Prishtina with one friend and beside me sat 3 Albanian guys, later arrived 3 men and one woman all of them speaking Serbian in the middle of Prishtina and 20 Albanians and no one looked at them twice or said anything. Why? because no one would benefit from such a thing as kill them or say anything to them. And i don't think that anyone would kill an Albanian in Belgrade either, why would anyone do it, and if that would happen then it would be from some psyko who don't know anything or that the victim have loads of cash with him.

Even the worst murderers don kill for nothing, they do it only if they benefit something more than 10 year in jail.

So move around and go wherever you want and if someone kills you than it was your destiny and murders happen in all citys of the world.

But in Kosovo if you are a Serb it is 100 times more likely to be killed by a bus or car hitting you than by an Albanian.

So drive carefully instead.

Perhaps in theory you correct but reality is quite another. If Kosovo is so important to the Serbs than they must remain. The migration of Serbs has been on going..especially under Tito. But what can we do about it now? The depopulation of rural Serbia is a huge problem here and that is just magnified in Kosovo. People like the kafana life in Belgrade and that is the Achilles heel of the Serbian people. One must work for greatest, whether its Tito's fault or 500 years of Turkish rule.

OK guess what folks? Graves have been desecrated in the Balkans on all sides since the 1990s. It's not a Serb problem, or an Albanian problem, it's just a problem. Extremists on all sides who want to erase the history of anyone else living in a region will target symbolic locations such as relgious sites, cemeteries, and other places of cultural heritage. In the end, who suffers? People like Slađana Drašković, and I'm certain there are Albanians, Bosnians, and Croats who have suffered just the same. Enough with the self-exoneration and the collective guilt.

Yeah Konstantin, just like the Serbs try to claim an ancient bridge in Kosovo as part of their heritage. Experts from Belgrade were sent to remove the latin letters for 'research'. They have been since destroyed. Or just like Orthodox churches were built over Catholic ones, and also over Mosques.

Btw do you know how many Mosques were burnt down by Serbs. It's pretty overwhelming to the Orthodox churches that Serbs are whining about. The Orthodox Church was pretty much for the ethnic cleansing of Albanians so you would understand the Albanians' position in that regard.

And if you want to talk about ethnic cleansing, why don't you get your hands on some hard documents that specifically show how, where, when Albanians were ethnically cleansed.

What kind of people cannot guarantee the safety of a priest or a grieving relative to go to a gravesite?

But WAIT! WHAT KIND OF PEOPLE ATTACK A MAN OF GOD WHEN HE VISITS A CEMETERY??

We had some folks in the USA attacking churches, Pastors and cemeteries of MINORITY MEMBERS OF OUR SOCIETY( Blacks) in the SOUTHERN STATES.
They were called RACIST and BIGOTS and the Federal Bureau of Investigation caught them and the US courts sent them to JAIL for a long, long time.

HOW COME LAW ENFORCEMENT IN KOSOVO DOES NOT DO THE SAME TO THOSE LOCAL VILLIANS???

Never mind, WE ALL know the answer don't we?

This is only propaganda orchastrated by Belgrade. How funy does it sound when the doughter said I went to visit the grave but it is to dangerous, but yet no one touched her. This comments were made and overheard by many people around it.
Konstatin I don't think you have a clue about sebian kingdom. Go to Rome, Italy and look carefully on the walls of Colesium and you will see serbian kindom borders (Belgrade with its suroundings only), that is how big geographically sebian kingdom was.

RE: Desecration of Graves

This is a tactic of the KLA Albanian extremists who want to erase the rich history of the first Serbian Kingdom in Kosovo. The Serbs were forced out in 1389 by the Ottoman Turks and found themselves in the Krajina frontier under the protection of the Austro-Hungarian Empire.

The Kosovo Serbs of Krajina were cleansed in both WWII and most recently in 1995 under Operation Storm. Meanwhile, the remaining Serbs in Kosovo proper have been systematically cleansed since 1945 under the leadership of Tito who appeased the Kosovo Albanians .

However, history cannot be erased no matter how many Orthodox Churches or gravesites are desecrated.

Princip,

Have you ever thought of albanian cemeteries in North Mitrovica? Do you know how many albanians have visited their beloved in this cemeterie since 1999? 0,0 nobody. Do you know why? Because of the serbian bridge guards. The serbs who will not only beat them to death but also destroy the cemeterie. No albanian is allowed to visit their beloved. In a contrary busses full of serbians are beeing drived to the serbian graves in the south, and nobody is touching them.

This action of sisters Draskovic is a play, theater, directed by Belgrade. They should be a shame, using their dead mother to achive political goals.

Well, to be fair, I never got the impression that graves in Belgrade were widely respected either. Every time I placed flowers at a site the flowers were stolen, and I am told resold, within 24 hours.

In Kosovo & Metohija not even the dignity of those who are deceased are protected let alone the living.

How can the UN administrators live with out shame. They say all is wonderful when they know that not even the dead are respected.
