He should be brought back to Serbia for burial, but we shouldnt make a big deal of it. Remember this is a man who left his people in their greatest time of need. What kind of leader does this?? When the Nazis told the Danish king to exterminate the Jews, the king rounded up the Royal Family, put on a Star of David and walked through the streets of Copenhagen. We should move on. The Serbian Royal Family failed us, Yugoslavia failed us and the West has failed us. We need to try to move on, and not return to the past. Next thing we will be praising the Ottamon Empire lol

I live right next to the church where he is buried. I don't understand how these English born "royal family" is requesting his body to be stolen and taken into Serbia. Yeah communist rule did ruin it, BUT, where did he want to be buried? He asked to be buried there. You are only assuming he would want to be buried in Serbia. Chicago has 100,000's of Serbs in the area and he wanted to be near them. I'm just against moving peoples carcasses. He's dead already and it's just a little disturbing to dig him out of a church where a bishop resides and take him to his layer in Beograd. Does anyone even take the royal family serious anymore?

I wonder if he was perhaps assassinated/poisoned or something on his visit to America. He wasn't liked by Tito and the Yugoslav communist government which sent assassins abroad to kill anti-communists.

47 is young to die and he looked healthy enough in his photos.

Any Serbian -American who opposes this move should ask himself a simple question.Where would the king have prefered to be buried if Communists did not control Serbia at the time of his death? His final resting place should be the place of his birth.I am sure that every Serb in America can afford a ticket to Belgrade any time they wish to go and pay their respects at his tomb but the same cannot be said of the millions of Serbs living in Serbia. He belongs to all Serbs not just the ones in the American diaspora.Have a safe trip back home-REST IN PEACE

This is a warm human interest story that can, in its own modest way, help put things right for a people who don't deserve to be further fragmented and extinguished by the times in which we live.
