Tourism is WAY UP in Belgrade. I was shocked to see so many tourist groups last time I went. Belgrade has a great night life, bars open all night, SMOKING is still allowed. Its a great place to party and vacation.

Keep in mind Jay, that its far cheaper to fly to Belgrade then any other airport in the region, and if you're headed to Montenegro (cheaper then Croatia and cooler then Albania) then chances are you're going through Belgrade. Besides, you ever try to find good Burek in Montenegro?

Hmm! A lick of paint and some nice floral curtains would certainly turn all those bunkers Hoxha built in to lovely beach side residences. Maybe I shall suggest Albania to my wife for a summer holiday this year :)

If these 20k visitors have a positive experience then each one will tell 10 friends about it and pretty soon Serbia will be awash in tourism money.Creating the right environment is key to attracting all kinds of foreign interests to your country which are sure to benefit the local population especially in the economic arena.
