gotovina should be hung. he's a mass murderer. victor if thats what you would like to do, and get all the soldiers, than there would have to be 250,000 Serbs allowed back to their original homes in Croatia.

RE: The Croatian Generals

The Croatian Generals were involved in a civil war with the Serbian Krajina rebel forces. They fought in a civil war, and their guilt is suspect.

The guilty parties are the mercenaries who faught and were paid for by Germany , Franjo Tudjmam Nationalist Croatian government and others including AGIM CEKU, who participate in Operation Storm paid for by the US. Later, he joined the UCK/KLA Terrorist group and finds himself as PM of of Kosovo instead of a war criminal in the docket.

General Ante Gotovina should be released as should General Ojdanic, General Lazerevic and General Pavkovic.

But why sould the ones who actually did the crime not face justice Victor? I thought you said that the Croatian authorities are co-operating fully with the Hague and if not to be tried in the Hague why not in Croatia or do they not have a judicial system?

Beyond that the generals are responsible for the actions of their trrops so if the individuals are not to face it the generals are collectively responsible - or do you now think Mladic is not resposnsible for his troops actions let alone seperate and ungoverned paramilitary groups.

I guess justice does not matter so much to you when innocent Serbians have been slaughtered in the name of Croatian statehood.

It is clear to me that the Croat officers did not give proper orders to their trrops to avoid crimes against the civilian population, and the indictment shows this clearly. Therefore, they are imputable for tyhe conduct of their soldiers and should be sentenced. Unfortunately, the soldiers who perpetrated the atrocities are free and will never face justice for what they have done.
