Zlatko, MJ is very very wrong, I have to repeat that (I have plenty of family in Krajina and Dalmatia who are Serb). Thank God the Italians had control of Dalmatia and not the Ustasha. The Italians did very much for the innocent victims of Ustashe terrorism. Italian units so ashamed of what their Croatian "allies" were doing, starting attacking them to protect civilians, even without the approval of higher ups. The Generals then supported them, and finally followed by the Italian government itself. This in effect seriously slowed down the number of victims sent to Jasenovac. Had the Italians not taken the stand that they did, the massive genocide (as many as 300,000 in the first few months according to German sources) would have continued unabated. Its obvious the Croatian government would like to revise history and paint the Croatian nation as the good guys and the Italians as the evil genocidal Nazi's in WWII. That simply is not the case. The Italians EARNED their right to comment on Croatian aggression by standing up for what was moral and correct in WWII. Of course if you listen to Tudjman, you'd think it was just innocent Croatians killed at Jasenovac and that there was no genocide against the Serbs. Serbia should strongly support Italy on any of these issues with Croatia, we owe them that much for what they did to protect us in a very difficult time.

MJ is right, what are they talking about? If there's one nation that shouldnt open it's trap, it's one that invaded Abyssinia and helped Hitler. Or how about the fact that their people only LAST YEAR were involved with allegations of Nazi sympathizers with their football teams.

President Napolitano, literally translating from italian, said "bloodthirsty hatred and rage". You, dishonestly, added the world "slavic" that evidently cast a very bad shadow on the political sense of the President's discourse.
I was there and believe my ears more than your reports.

The Italians actually saved countless Jews and Serbians from the Ustashe in WWII even going so far as to engage in firefights with Croatian forces to protect the local population. Its no surprise the Croatians don’t like the Italian wartime record. The Italian troops in Dalmatia were heroes in a difficult situation.

Italians have the nerve! They commited war crimes all across former Yugoslavia, how dare they accuse any Former Yugoslavian country of anything. They should reflect on their own stance and their own doings during WW2, afterall they where the agressors and conquerors

the italians should phrase their statements more carefully. 'slavic' is too broad of a term. i really don't think poles or ukrainians came down to do this work. unless...this was just meant to be a back-handed slap to the guilty.
