I am sure that the Serbian Government would hand Mladic over if they could find him.

Is it really beyond belief that some people are good at evading capture? My opinion is that if he is alive he would have been a master disguises and left for a foreign country a long time ago and it would be impossible to capture him.

Justice should be for everyone, especially for the living because they need it more. The EU would not know what justice was even if they saw it. What if they were the innocent people in their country under similiar circumstances. It is to moralise and hurt others when you do not feel the pain.

If Mladic is found it would not surprise anyone to know that he has charges to face here in Serbia, as well as any other offences that he may confess to after his capture. Therefore, we can all be assured that Serbia is doing everything to co-operate with Europe.

There is no political will to stop Mladic. The Army sheltered him for years in its barracks, and young soldiers have possibly been killed because they 'had seen' what they were not supposed to see! No need of disguise for Mladic and Karadzic. There is a reseau (french) of people, including the Orthodox Church, who are helping in hiding them.

Mladic will either terminate himself or be liquidated before he is handed over. "

Seriously, what are they or the rest of the Serbs waiting for?

CrNoGoRa has a good point..

I mean really....
The US and Nato, can find Taliban leaders in unmapped areas of Waziristan, find Saddam in a spider hole, and give me wonderfull images from "Google Earth" of Kim Il Jong's missiles, but yet somehow, Karadzic and Mladic are better at hiding than David Copperfield in a pumpkin patch. To add, they have totally circumvented the world's BEST intelligence agencies...

I don't have a crystal ball, and can't pretend to know what's going on behind closed doors of Intelligence Agencies around the world, but i can surely guess that either:

A) These two fellas have something incriminating against the West.

B) The West actually KNOWS where they are, but are playing like cats with a dead mouse, and practicing for the next mouse somewhere else..

C) Keep them around long enough to let the Mujahadin's in the area sleep with one eye open..

I don't know..

But please, ask yourself...

"Is there REALLY something else on the agenda?"

Imagine for one moment that NATO would have decide to proceed with Mladic's arrest! It is the same with Mladic, who is a hero to many Serbs, an icon as we say, and much more than Milosevic, imagine the NATO soldiers in the Belgrad Stadium arriving to arrest Mladic!! Be serious.

It is up to the Serbs to deliver their criminals as they did with Milosevic.

Belgrade will never work with an illegitimite court. Mladic will either terminate himself or be liquidated before he is handed over. The above commentator lives in a fantasy world (as do the organizers of the court).

Why have 50,000 NATO soldiers not been able to arrest Karadzic in a land they have patrolled for 12 years? Come on man, Get Real! Your comments show you to be out of the loop and in possession of faulty information.

What is more embassaring: admitting the state does not have a functioning security apparatus, or admitting it does not wish to join Europe?

For years, Kostunica let Mladic walked the streets in Serbia freely, and did not lift the little finger to arrest him... only for political reasons and because he feared the Serb's reactions who see him as a hero. I repeat again: The key to the problem lies in the hands of Vojislav Koštunica, the outgoing Prime Minister, who has never issued an official warrant for Mladić’s arrest.
