In my opinion, and I could be wrong, the Serbian Politicians appear to be only interesed in themselves, even during difficult times for the nation.

They face the dilemma of what if they convince the Radical Party to change it's name that will help Serbia, but it will harm their own Party. The word Radical is doing a lot of harm to the Serbia, especially given that they are the largest Party. The word Radical is a very bad word when it is translated in other languages, and the biased, evil foreign media exploit it to the maximum.

There is nothing radical with respecting the UN Charter, International Law, and your own Constitution, and believing in a multi-racial and multi-religious Europe.

Waiting for the foreign evil, biased, and lying media to play fair is futile. Here in the West, while the Parties have to pretend that they are against each other, they actually work together for the good of their country. If one of their Parties were doing something that harmed their nation they would give them some good advice to change. They would not be jealous if the other party even benefited from the good advice because they are working for the good of the country, and they will always find a job somewhere else.

The Serbs are different, and I guess you make your own fate in a way. Everyone has problems and it is fair and honest to blame others for half of your problems most times, yet it is equally fair and honest to blame yourself for the rest of your problems most of the time.

Serbia could need a grand Coalition National Unity Government at this time, and the word Radical really does not belong there. If not even one Parliamentarian can see this and tell the rest of Parliament, then no one can help the Serbs, and while the Politicians will look after themselves the poor people will have to pay for their lack of discernment.

A Grand Coalition of most Political Parties, and all Political Parties if possible would be the PUREST form of DEMOCRACY, and this could be a possibility.

No one can honestly say that Serbia did not have a DEMOCRATIC Goverment if they had a Government of National Unity, because this is the GREATEST Democracy possible.

A government like that that would need time to negotiate, but could be a good Government. Israel has on several occasions had to have a Grand Coalition, and it has served Israel well, and could be a good Government for Serbia.

The West is worried that Kostunica will end up forming a coalition with the Radicals. If the Radicals agree to let him be Prime Minister, this possibility can no longer be ruled out since I suspect Kostunica doesn't trust Tadic on issues like Kosovo. And since Tadic seem not to want Kostunica to remain as Prime Minister. But this is just my guess and I admit that I don't know much about these things since I am not from the Balkans.

In my opinion, a fresh election should be called only as a last resort, and that could even mean waiting until the last minute that the Constitution allows.

This is because any election campaign will be lenghty and costly, and in all probabilty a similar result may be achieved. It could be better to give this Parliament every opportunity to form a Government, and as a last resort try a Government of National Unity, rather than going to a fresh election.

I guess that the Political Parties might be keeping the opinion polls in mind to see if they can improve their electoral position if a fresh election is called.
