They said the same to Alija Izetbegovic in 1995 when Serb Army was leaving B. Krajina, and Alija (a man with no balls) backed off. The endresult was BiH split in two parts.

if nato/kfor have a changed rules of engagement then i would beleive so. but if it still the same as in march 04 that they are only to watch and do nothing then it is very dangerous.

Why does this article only say that cars were burned? Why does it fail to mention that NATO allowed our churches to be burned by albanians?

albanians just know how to start provocations and violence, so I ask how can Serbs negotiate with such people?
I am from Kosovo & Metohija - and with albanians there can be no peace - because even if there is absolute peace in the region they will start a provocation for no reason.

RE: United States True Allies

This is a timeline of the events during WWII. Please take notice that Serbia in it's entire history has never declared war on any nation or invaded another country.

Propoganda from current media will tell you that somehow Yugoslavia was guilty of invading it own country through the JNA.

Please take note that Albania is among Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria who declared war against the United States of America. Serbia was bombed because they said no to Hitler in 1941. Even the Serbian Quisling Government was set up to protect the Serbian citizen but never declared war against the United States. The other so called quisling governments (Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania) were not-Albania and Croatia were under Nazi and Italian Fascist Leadership.

December 12 Bulgaria, Hungary and Slovakia declare war on the United States of America and Great Britain.

Haiti, El Salvador and Panama declare war on Germany and Italy.

Romania declares war on the United States of America.

December 13 Great Britain, New Zealand and the Union of South Africa declare war on Bulgaria.

Honduras declares war on Germany and Italy.

Italy declares war on Cuba and Guatemala.

December 14 Croatia declares war on the United States of America.

December 15 Egypt breaks diplomatic relations with Hungary and Romania.

December 16 Czechoslovakia declares war on all countries at war with the United States of America, Great Britain and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics.

December 17 Albania declares war on the United States of America.

December 19 Colombia breaks relations with Germany and Italy.

Mexico breaks diplomatic relations with Hungary.

Nicaragua declares war on Bulgaria, Hungary and Romania.

I hope you that are right, but leaders do not necessarily do what is in the interests of their followers. They often manipulate and take advantage of events for their own interests (iraqi weapons of mass destruction etc.). The majority of the 'free' media didn't do their job or actively cooperated with mendacities such as the above.

I would expect those who they represent the majority of albanians say that they are not happy with it even if they are. Consider the reports in the FT and Der Speigel recently of "independence within months", designed to assuage any anger of not getting "independence now".

Still, it is not the Media who is deciding what will happen, but self-appointed "powers" who see fit to bend international law to their interests, even if it damns them further down the road.

2004, 2004, how many serbs were killed in March 2004 and how many Albanians. Who killed the Serbs and who killed Albanians during March 2004? I guess it is easy for some just to say something and keep no responsiblity about that. Who destroyed Mosques in Kosova in 1998, 1999, how many priests were killed in Kosova? Please try to find answers to those questions and than come to conclusion who killed who in Kosova.
Who blessed the paramilitary, military, police and others when they went to war in Kosovo, in which war a large number of people killed were children, women, and elder? Why didn't they kill the ones who had guns with themself?
I believe that NATO when it says that is ready, it means that it is ready to react in European way not barbarian way as would Balkan people react.

Mike

The Albanians will not be so foolish this time around to stage any violent uprisings. They now have a major PR campaign to wage, proving they are a peaceful community. Any unrest only goes against them, pushes independence further down the road, augments security within the region, and makes Russia and China more likely to veto any resolution granting independence to Kosovo Province. Any act of violence puts greater leverage in the Serbian camp for more concessions.

crazyworld26

pre 17 godina

I honestly don't see NATO being prepared to react in a case of possible riots. I also don't see Albanians repeating March 2004. However, the protest on the 10th will be another act of vandalism. KPS should get serious in dealing with that group.

Hermon

Well, I am sure that will not be any trouble in Kosova and this for the only reason that the majority is going to be happy with the decision. Is NATO prepared to shoot at crowds of civilians with KLA gunmen amongst them (as they failed to do in march 2004)?

I fail to see how NATO, a military organization, would be able to deal with such an situation as it is primarily a military organization, not a police one. Or do they expect the KPS to have some effect?!!!

If tear gas and/or rubber bullets are used, would it make that much difference. It would be claimed that NATO shot at 'unarmed' protesters and be used to mobilized even more people which could easily overwhelm NATO troops. After all, certain factions within the Kosovo albanian community deliberately spread the lie that albanian boys who drowned leading to the organized march 2004 ethnic cleansing were chased into the river by the Serbs.

Does NATO really think they could counter such a situation as quickly as needs be? No doubt different tactics will be used by those wishing to use 'civilians' for their ends, regardless of the deaths that may be caused.

NATO doesn't stand a chance.

Example, the KLA could stage several 'actions'/feints in Macedonia and Montenegro to divide and dilute a coordinated NATO response, and take advantage of the disarray.

NATO promises aren't worth a fig.
