Has it occurred to anyone that its probably NOT in the US's interest to have an EU orientated Serbia? That the US is better off with a divided Europe with some leaning towards the EU and some leaning towards Russia? The US doesn't exactly agree with France and Germany on a lot of current International issues and they seem to get on Bush's nerves often...

the first thing BG should do is call polt into the office and reprimand him for speaking during the blackout period and for purposely favoring one candidate over another. i just finished writing my letter of protest and sent it via email to his secretary.

«I'm actually glad that the Radicals won, but afraid also, hoping they don't make the same atrocious mistakes of the past.»

And they will because that's all they know! They will refuse that Mladic is handed to The Hague; they'll call this International Court of kangaroo court only because only Serbs are incriminated for their atrocious atrocities, their rapes, their crimes, etc.

It's not tomorrow that Serbia will become a nation between the community of nations.

I'm glad that Kostunica is PM again too. And I'm glad his priority is not EU. I think that Russia emerging economic strategies is what the Balkan areas should emulate. And they should actively and prioritize economic relations with Russian and other former soviet countries. The US is never going to play fair. It's multinationals are like countries; and they have their very own Private Military Companies to wreck havoc in order to get their own way. I'm actually glad that the Radicals won, but afraid also, hoping they don't make the same atrocious mistakes of the past. But I really could not see Tadic as giving a firm stand to the west...it seem to me he had sold his soul to them long ago.
