Wikipedia on Podujevo massacre: Goran Stoparić, at the time of the events serving in the anti-terrorism unit of the Yugoslav army (SAJ) gave evidence to bring the culprits to justice. In an interview to Canadian Broadcasting Corporation he speculated over the motives behind the actions commited by the irregular forces:

"In my opinion, [their] only motive was the fact that the victims were Albanians, and perhaps because of some hidden immaturity or sickness of mind on their part. They would probably have killed them had they been Bosnians or Croats. But it is certain that they were killed because they were not Serbs."

It hurts but that is the truth.

i mean just shows what serbs actualy feel and think in todays serbia, although radicals may not end up with a coalition to setle a gov. it proves yet again just like the begining of 1989 all over again...

In the village of Cuska, in May 1999, all villagers had no arms, and 43 of them were massacred. Read Fred Abraham's book and you'll see. Hundreds and thousands of unarmed civilians were massacred. What you have accomplished in Bosnia was repeated in kosovo and has tarnished the soul of your nation for generations. Did you know that Patriarch Pavle was the first to pronounce this last sentence.

purposely sacrificed their own people to get the west to fight a war on your behalf that you could not hope to win.

I notice in the reports of dead they don't say civilians, just Albanians. NATO bombs had already killed a couple hundred Kosovo Albanians by bombing. In one convoy bombing in April there were around 86 Albanians killed. Serbs had to of course bury those bodies and treat the survivors in their hospitals.

Many of those areas had KLA activity even though the Serb police and military were there. One should point out that the NATO bombing exacerbateed the situation and that there were paramilitaries, not controlled by the government who killed.

Also, the numbers are far, far, far less than the propaganda at the time which was claiming many thousands of Albanians were killed. Instead you have a few hundred, some probably due to collateral damage (KLA did hide in towns amongst the civilians).

It was very light as civil wars go, and would have been much less if NATO didn't bomb. And it wouldn't have started at all if the CIA wasn't backing separatists and training and preparing Albanians in Germany, Turkey and northern Albania for the attacks and invasion.

Serbia was in fact being invaded by Albania. The KLA had bases there and Albanians from Albania were involved in the war.

And now, even factoring all the missing (which includes Serbs and Roma) along with all the bodies they could scrounge up (including Serbs and those killed in 1998 and after the NATO bombing). They only get around 3,000, yet some are still claiming 10,000 Albanian civilians were killed.

It is impossible, because even if you were to add the missing it can't get up to even 5,000 - and that is including non-Albanians and the KLA military deaths.

The Albanians built a wall, patterned after the U.S. Vietnman dead commemoration war wall, of their fallen SOLDIERS.

I'd like to see you/them break down that number into KLA, non-KLA Albanians, Roma, Serbs, victims of NATO bombs, etc. and also if you are counting those killed in 1998 and those killed after June 1999. But you can't - they don't - because they are pulling numbers out of nowhere.

Recent news has a former KLA arrested as being part of an attempted attack in Montenegro. He was on the Serbs wanted list for killings in the summer 1998. They dug up the bodies in mass grave in a cave - those bodies adding to the body count - yet they were Serbs killed by Albanians.

You should know that loyal Albanians and those working for the Serbian government, even forest rangers, for example, were targeted by the KLA to radicalize the Albanians.
