It is not independent, but was set up by Madeleine Albright and other Serb haters and attackers.

It was set up in an old insurance building in The Hague, and because of its location is confused with the more honorable Hague court which existed since WWII era.

This court, the ICTY, is funded by the U.S. and NATO countries.

They never have any Orthodox judges at all, but will have people of all other religions trying the cases.

The court is a violation of sovereignty, and is biased. It will not try the U.S. or NATO countries for what they did - dropping cluster bombs, DU, deliberatly targeting civilian infrastructure far from the war theatre.

NATO troops are also exempt from any crimes they commit against the Balkans peoples.

The Hague does not try Croat war criminals such as Tomislav Mercep who ordered the torture and execution of Serb civilians imprisoned by Croats.

Follow the money; it is not an independent court at all, it is a political weapon.

«...an independent, international tribunal like that in the Hague offers a real chance for justice .»

I agree completely with you. Too bad though that the Serbs are protecting their war criminals, portraying them as heroes. This is a shame and this is the reason why Serbia will be for a long time on the blsck list of other nations.

"...what a tragedy.."? How tragic that so many people are still blind to the atrocities perpetrated by ALL sides in that awful war! And how tragic too is the bigotry of so many people here who seem to incapable of understanding that an independent, international tribunal like that in the Hague offers a real chance for justice - both for victims and for the accused. Please, please stop this awful rhetoric of hatred. Focus your passions on the real task, to make Serbia the wonderful place it deserves to be.

What were the terms of this 'agreement'? Who knows, threats/bribes/or simply the fact that he knows he is going to prison in this 'democratic court' all logically may have played roles. What a tragedy the Hague is.

These people plead guilty because they know innocent people can be sent to jail for life. So they are bargained with to agree to the charges to get a lighter sentence.

There never is any DNA evidence presented at all. They know Serbs can be convicted on nothing but fictional and orchestrated "testimony".

Imagine: the justice to bargain with a war criminal, a rapist, a torturer, a killer! WHat is surprising is that all these guys plead not guilty ... because they know that they'll be able to come up with a bargain. Unfortunately, their victims were not allowed not even compassion and humanity !

THIS IS A SCANDAL!
