Israel adopts “Red Crystal”, joins Red Cross

The International Red Cross and Red Crescent began using a third emblem whose adoption allowed Israel to join.

This is simply not good enough. Why would anyone expect a Jewish-majority state to accept the 'red crystal' instead of the Star of David as its emblems? There is something discriminatory and unfair in forcing Israel to accept a 'red crystal' when they have the Star of David on their flag and are internationally recognized as a Jewish state. There is no logical reason to expect them to accept a cross or a crescent. As far as the administration of medicine in Palestine, if they are seeking service from Israel, they have no right to expect the use of the crescent on their flag. If they want the crescent, they should provide for their own medical services with taxpayer's money collected from the citizens of their own country, which their leadership keeps refusing. As of this moment, most Palestinians receive medicare and insurance through Israel, international relief organizations and Western aid.
