This is actually sad, most of serbia's war criminals are in jail (not mladic and karadgic) but the biggest criminal in which his country's main income is from drugs is complaining about Belgrade not doing it's job. I dont mean to be rascist, it's the plain truth, "Agim Ceku" is seen as a criminal even in his own people's eyes.

Serbia would be able to better protect its borders (including the one between its province Kosovo and Metohija and Macedonia) if it would have official Serbian police there. This is merely fulfilment of the UN Resolution 1244 which alows official Serbian police to be at its borders around Kosovo and Metohija. I am glad that Kosovo and Metohija Prime Minister has also realised that it is about time to obay the UN Resolution 1244 and allow official Serbian police to return to the borders of the Province.

Best regards from the US.

No. Blag it's not a propaganda! Even the prime minister of Macedonia has called for extradition of the Serbian/Macedonian individual carrying 483 kgs of cocain. That individual is associated with a companiy called Mak Fut. Only an extremely naiv or ignorant person would believe her story of Set up. It must have been "Speedy Gonzales" sneaking those drugs in her vehicle. 483 Kg, can't be sneaked like you'd sneak a pack of cigarrettes. You need at least couple of hourse to do that. Even then, the weight would slow the vehicle, and only a fool would keep on driving without noticing a thing.

The one that's doing propaganda is you, dear Blag!

RE: Agim Ceku comment

The chauvinism of Kosovo Albanian politicians are already showing and they are not even independant yet.

Get your house in order before you look at others:

(1) Instead of making demands, negotiate with the Serbian Government to get the power up for all citizens in Kosovo.

(2) Negotiate with Serbian, Republic of Macedonia and Bulgaria customs to scrutinize illegal shipments(Serbia has made arrests of various truck drivers)

This would be a good start.

It is silly and immature to assign ethnic/country labels to crime.Where are the coca leaves grown?processed?transported through how many different nations?how many boats, airplanes, trucks does it take from its point of origin to its ultimate destination?A criminal by any other name is still a criminal.End of story!

Interesting, a lot of you here said 'the pot calling the kettle black'. I guess that means that you think that Ceku is right about Serbia.

I think Ceku did the right thing, because this case highlights the fact that there are criminals in all countries. And attempts to identify Albanians as criminals are wrong and misleaded.

Anthony Shelmerdine, I know about some Brits who came to Kosovo and did many crimes. Am I to assume that all Brits are criminals?

Iowe, I am sure you have read this, but the Kosovo police informed the Macedonian police that the truck is suspicious, thus playing a key role in the capture.

Mike

Wow, you've got to me kidding me, Ceku. I mean it's a noble thing to say and all, but why would you want to effectively kill Pristina's only successful source of income? Oh dear, oh dear. And I thought MY president made dumb statements.

FYI:I am Slovenian and whenever there is a shady deal going down in Slovenia is involves Albanians in Kosovo. So I was very surprised to see Ceku say this and I must say Ceku is very commical and knows when to pick his moments. First he visits a Serbian family and now he takes the only opportunity he can to blame the finger at Serbia and Belgrade. He is a very clever politician. This just goes to show his manipulative ways. I think Europe should be ware of him and his K-Albanian government.

John

I think he wants the Serbs to join interpol - the ones that let him go free when he was detained several times. This is really a case of the pot calling the kettle black. It's just too comical - the criminal calling for more stricter controls on crime. He really should be on stage, as his proceeds could further fund the UCK.

Adrian Kola

From what I can see, you have deviated from the context of this article. The Kosovan PM merely asked for cooperation and a stronger stance from Belgrade towards organised crime, which to be honest is appalling compared to other Balkan states.
But according to all of you, Albanians are to be blamed for all crimes that go on in Europe. In fact according to all of you the name "Albanian" should actually become a synonym for "Criminal". Such incredible slurs and accusations do no one any good and it only goes to show that really there won't ever be a peaceful co-existence between Albanians and Serbs.

Hilarious!!!!!

Must be because it is Friday so let's all have a laugh!

As they say in the UK, talk about pot calling the kettle black!

Where's Sidi and Ahmet Isufi now?

Seriously though, mafia gangs dont care about ethnicity when it comes to money. Serb & Albanian Mafia put that all to one side when drug/women trafficking is in question

I am not from the Balkans and so I do not know the circumstances of this case. That was why I asked for clarification.

In any case, what were UNMIK and the Pristina authorities doing to solve this problem? At face value it would seem unfair to blame Serbia since she does not control Kosovo's border with Macedonia since 1999.

ida ridge

The woman blamed, who also holds Macedonian citizenship, believes it was a set up.

She said it was held up in Montenegro for a long time, and they told her the paint was leaking. Then she said it was also in Pec, Kosovo for 48 hours and thoroughly inspected by UNMIK.

She believes it was planted in Montenegro, Kosovo or the border with Macedonia.

It says alot about an ethnic group when they become so associated with crime that any criminal activity is deemed 'Albanian'. This is what has happend in Manchester. It is now slang to describe any illegal activity as being 'Albanian'. Ceku should be very proud.

It's too early to say who's behind this shipment of drugs, but both blag and lowe should know that there are strong and brutal Serbian criminals and criminal organisations around. Albanians have their similar ones, but there's no reason to turn your blind eye on Serbian gangs, no matter how nationalist you wish to paint your patrionism.
lowe's limping thought "the crime took place at the Kosovo-Macedonia border and Belgrade is being blamed" is a sad evidence of willful ignorance.
But he wants someone to clarify? OK. This very crime has not taken place only or just at the Kosovo-Macedonia border. Get that?
Čeku had his chance to remind of Serbian criminals, as the talk usually in this matter turn toward Albanians. He of course should clean his own table at the same time.
