Christian Orthodox

The followers of the Christian Orthodox faith do not burn down Serbian Orthdodox churches, over one hundred to be exact.

Orthodox believers to not burn and desecrate gravesites in order to erase the history of Kosovo.

The example of Orthodox faith is the Decani Monastery where Father Sava took in an protected Albanian civilians from a Serbian Military Group during the Kosovo war in 1999(Who knows, maybe one of those civialians were the KLA and or UCK dressed in civilian clothes.

Mr. Vlasta Samargic,

It's natural reaction to seek help elswhere if you are not helped by local authorities as you alledge about the Simic family. I was merely applying my comment to technical procedures which are involved during a homocide investigation.

You are absolutely right about Serbian voters. They know better than anyone else whom to vote for. Maybe I got carried away a little bit with my personal wishes. But you have to understand, most of us who desire peace in Ballkans, hope and pray that Serbia will fulfil its international obligations and continue its democratic growth.
Without a stable and democratic Serbia, it's ilogical to believe there may be peace and prosprity in Ballkans.

To answer your final question about myself, I am originaly from Saranda, Albania living currently in Los Angeles. I am in my late twenties, orthodox christian by faith, married to beautiful young lady from Latvia, and possess an equal fluency as to English in 14 other languages including Serbian.

Hvala za vasu pitanju i nadam da ce jednog dana svi cemo moci da zivimo zajedno i u miru sa svim narodima u Balkanu,

Valentino,

If Simic family can't get protection in Kosmet, it's natural that they might look for it elswhere. Thanks for your advice for whom to vote, but Serbian people already know who they will vote for. Rest asure, it won't be Tadic, nor Liberal Chedo.

Finaly, may I politely ask you where you are from? Your appears Latin.

a police man was killed in a serbian village ,with no albanian in the area, near the simic house .he receveid a bullet in the head from the back. a search around was done like in every place in the world ,the police discovered kalash, pistolets and many others munitions in theses houses...
what is strange is that this policeman was killed 5 days ago ,he was albanian, and i am sure that Mr koshtunica expected albanians to demonstrate again serbian criminels, just before the report of mr athisari.
albanian didnot move ,so his "march repeated action",when serbs killed 3 children ,did not work!
Mr simic escape thanks to this invitation to custudy ,and mr koshtunica still believe he can foolthe world with his lies ...
Such great leaders you have, you serbians!

Someone here said that police officer died 50 meters from these houses.
Wait a minute. I thought that it's perfectly acceptable way of voicing discontent of minority. Isn't that what KLA did?
Then Ruben goes to say that Serbs will have to trust and join Kosovo Police as many have done to great benefit.
Well, many Albanians used to trust and joined Police during Milosevic's time as well. Yet, there were militias such as KLA. I don't understand why it would be a bad thing now, and it wasn't a bad thing before?

Mike: "Such actions against the Simic family are nothning new to the region. Serb police forces under Milosevic did the exact same thing to Albanian families - and should rightfully deserve condemnation and prosecution"

Oh no Mike, Milosevic's forces in a case like this would kill the entire family and throw them on a ditch. As a previous poster noted: where are Simic's bruises? Was he mistreated by the police simply because they searched and took away his illegally-owned gun?

Hey J.Ham where did you get that number (900 Serbs are killed for past 8 years), are you including Serbian soldiers killed during the war. The irony here is how Koshtunica is playing games with Kosovar Serbs and using them as a tool just like Miloshevic did in his era. The reality is that Kosovar Serbs have been treated with kids gloves whenever they commited crimes. kosovar Albaninas have been subject to raids day and night and no one is talking about.

Everything Kostunica and Tadic are doing are already backfiring. They used Simic to make the int'l commmunity look to Kosova rather than how SErbs are treating their 400,000 Gypsies and refugees. The previous SErb govt created this present state of the Balkans and now Kostun. and co. want to blame the Victims of serb govt policies for how serb govt NOW treats their own Romas and Refugees? Shame on Kostunica and tadic for doing this to their own people..let alone all those Victims of serb policies. They efforts have not gone unnoticed. I'm sure EU has a few choice words for this kostunica and tadic for attempting this amateur game. I guess serbian govt should fire that American publicity firm for failing to advise them to act as true honorable leaders would when presented with such dire news about their own people. I think they should go with a Chinese firm...they're doing a tremendous job selling their 'Asian Tiger" slogan to the west.

Valentino,

pre 17 godina

Kostunica's claim of ethnic cleanising is pure propaganda. Why doesn't this Simic guy show us some bruises or any evidence that he got beaten. You can't simply accuse Police authorities with ethnic cleansing just because they are doing a murder investigation. An officer died 50 meters away from these homes and it's quite fishy of why the murder suspects are running hurriedly toward Belgrade.

If Mr. Kostunica gives refuge to people under investigation, then he is aiding murder suspects get off the hook.

According to Kosovo Police authorities they have found substantial number of weapens and forensics are in the proces of doing, a ballistic identification procedure, which may naturally exonorate or accuse with a crime of homocide some of the suspects.

If they have good alibies, they have nothing to worry!!!!

This in fact has nothing to do with ethnicity as Mr. Kostunica and his cronies are alledging. This is a murder investigation. It's rather shocking to see B92 give a lot more publicity to murder suspect evaders then the victim itself Mr. Kostumi.

"Good Job Mr. Kostunica! You have truly regenerated yourself into Milosevic!"

Dear Serbian people, if you are truly are tired of endless wars, and are good Christians as I sincerely believe you to be, don't bet your lives on a dead man, Chedomir Jovanovic is the only leader that may endow Serbia with clear skies.

certainly a propaganda move... but let us analyze a bit:

FACT: a man is killed while driving his car thru a barren area in the dead of night... and within an hour KPS arrests 3 serbs.

FACT: for nearly 8 yrs, 900 serbs have been killed (many in broad daylight) yet not a single suspect has been brought to justice.

Q: exactly what message is this calculated to bring to the minority population who live in enclaved ghetto's reminiscent of s. african apartheid or jim crow america?

I guess, Kostunica's statements tell us more about Kostunica than about the situation in Babin Most. So sad there are still such leaders in the Balkans.

Ruben

pre 17 godina

Of course Kostunica is simply using the tragedy of this family for his own political aims. This is what politicians do.
The truth is that the police in Kosova is very careful when dealing with the Serbs. The policemen are often trained on how to behave with the minority memebrs.
If there have been irregularities in treating the Simic case, then an inquiry and possibly a legal process will begin against the participating policemen.
On the other hand it is not mature to generalize individual cases and one should not forget that not everybody is an angel among the minorities.
If you are keeping illegal weapons in your home, you can still sue the police for mistreatment, but you will have also to face justice. Kosova cannot afford militias as in the times of Milosevic. The Serbs will have to trust and join Kosova Police Force as some of them have done for years to great benefit.

Albanians always blame someone else for their crimes. I don't think they have taken the blame even once in their history.
I am just wondering how albanians posting messages here - come up with the most weird accusations ever?

Ah, but Ahmet and ????, I am quite sure that if the victim family were Albanian and the perpetrators were Serbs, you'd be screaming bloody murder, followed by a long litany of why Kosovo should be independent immediately. Let's take a step back here, away from the ethnic emotion, and assess the situation carefully. Such actions against the Simic family are nothning new to the region. Serb police forces under Milosevic did the exact same thing to Albanian families - and should rightfully deserve condemnation and prosecution. However, the same situation appears to be taking place with the roles reversed now - no less egregious, and no less punishable. Albanians and Serbs should stand up against cases of police brutality regardless of who is being victimized, and should not seek to exonerate the perpetrators simply because they are of the same ethnicity. If you're going to point the finger, make sure your own house is in order.

Have never seen such populism. I thought Serbia had only one Milosevic, but now I am realising that they have more, ready to fulfil Milosevic’s plan by using the same tactic and arguments.

Ahmet Isufi

Koshtunica invited Simiq family to Belgrade simply for its own propaganda. Also, by doing this he is impeding the murder investigation. Koshtunica publicly called on people from BabiNmost not to leave their homes, why he said that, is he sure that that is what they were going to do or he is trying to tell them to really leave and than he will come out publicly and say that they were chased and the exodus has just started. Every world Leader knows Koshtunicas games by now.

wow, its a FACT that those 3 Albanian children that died in March were NOT killed by Serbs. Its amazing reading some of these posts! The "facts" that some of the Albanians comment are laughable!
