I typed in "bin laden mosque kosovo" and "bin laden kosovo" into google, and hundreds of websites appeared, including a few serbianna ones. It seems that the mosque has been renamed since it was not found to be politically correct, or whatever.

Fred,
I checked that. It comes from Serbianna, and has no references. It cannot be taken seriously, and no one takes it seriously.

The real truth hurts doesn't it guys? The situation is not nearly as black and white as people here try to represent. I found info on this mosque on Google. Just type in 'osama bin laden mosque kosovo' in the search prompt, folks.

I would to like to focus on the Ahtisaari's proposal delay due to the Serbian elections.
In my opinion that fact means that the Ahtisaari's proposal on final Kosovo status will be independence.

STAN, WHICH MOUSQUE HAS BEEN DEDICATED TO BIN LADEN. This is my first time that I heard such thing and I live in Kosova . I am suprised at some people how far they are willing to go with nonsence propaganda.

To Stan:
Can you show us any proof of this mosque dedicated to OBL? The Kosovars were the first people in the Balkans to go out en masse on September 11, 2001, in sympathy with the American people. They waved American flags and stood with America in remembrance during all anniversaries. Meanwhile Serbs celebrated 9/11 and made postcards in Belgrade about the attacks. Get your facts straight next time you want to make an intelligent comeback.

To Stan,
I never heard that a mosque in Kosovo was dedicated to Bin Laden. However, if that's true, then, it's a horrible thing to do.
As far as I remember, on the day of Sep 11, Bin Laden had a lot more cheerful fans in Belgrade than any other place in Ballkans.
Regardless, I know for a fact that most of the mosques in Kosovo have been built by Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and United Arab Emirate governments.
If I were in charge of Kosovo, I would not allow such a funding from these countries.
I would actually ban this reelgion completely and bring back the dream of "Skenderbeg" which was to preserve Albanian's original faith which I and many Albanians love ROMAN CATHOLICISM.

"albanians left their religion behind 100years ago." This is a grossly misrepresented line, and a myth. Religion was suppressed by the COMMIES my friend, not by the intellectual development of the society. The same as everywhere else in the former commie balkan states, although the croatians did enjoy much more religious freedoms thanks to Tito. Some of my relatives were from the state of croatia within the country of jugoslavia, and they built special windowless rooms in the 50's in which to celebrate their slavas, so they wouldn't be prosecuted and terrorized by croatian police. This was a throwback to the ottoman times! If the albanians aren't religious, why has there been such an explosion in mosque-building recently? Why is it that laws are being developed that require a mosque be built everywhere a serbian church stands (and it must be taller)? Can you explain why a mosque in Kosovo was dedicated to osama bin laden?

you guys are very quick to point out discriminatory or racist comments when they are anti-albanian. the comments here are anti-serb racist. on top of that all peoples and nations construct mythological and religious historical cycles.
stop talking about independence already... and just do it. what are you guys afraid of? it's getting really boring!

The only reason to some Serbians argue for continuity of Kosovo inside Serbia is one: RELIGIOUS FUNDAMNETALISM.
Some people still didn’t realize the we’re in 2006, not 1389. Ethnically talking, Kosovo is mostly Albanian-speaking for more than one hundred years, and ethically talking they deserve to don’t live anymore under a colonialist government that never recognized them as part of the country (regarding Kosovar Albanians as mere inferior vassals).
One of the greatest problems of Serbia is that, differently from modern Western democracies, many people don’t want to see that the only way to enforce peace, stability and true democracy is to create SECULAR government and to make the SEPARATION BETWEEN NATION-STATE AND RELIGION.
That’s the fact.
pre 17 godina
Why do Draskovic and the others believe Serbia should keep Kosovo within its borders, but have no control about what goes on there. Where is the benefit for Serbia in that?
pre 17 godina
Brilliantly put, Serbia has territorial integrity of Kosovo that must be respected, but Albanians wanting to rule themselves is legitimate as well.
Serbia has advocated the most logical thing, compromise, the entire time.
Is it really the goal of Albanian extremists for self-rule (which Serbia already offers) or territorial seperationand expansion...the latter is dangerous.
pre 17 godina
We can either accept Serbian domination and live under tyranny and never-ending conflicts as we have been subjected to since 1912, or unconditional independence and good neighboring relations after that!
You can figure out which one Albanians would choose Mr. Draskovic?
