Kosovo: Calm now, but nervously approaching final status

"Serbian goods are flooding the market". Hey Blag, what is Serbia doing selling goods to Albanians? I thought they were going to embargo the place? Or will they do that once the province is declared independent?
Money knows no borders, it has no alliegances, and it doesn't care what language people speak!

Lippman misses the point that the Serbs in Kosovo need not only some freedom to move but also the possibility to make a living. Unsafety and job discrimination in the cities and fear to work on their lands make it for many impossible to earn a living. This is not a sustainable situation.

Independence may stop some kinds of violence against the minorities, but very probably it will only worsen the discrimination and greed that drive many other crimes.

The shaken hand of the albanians to the serbs need to be accepted. The serb community is not trying anything at all to improve their situation, which in fact is very bad. Once, the status is resolved: Independence, people will be able to look with more confidence towards the future, and tensions will be lowered.
