In response to Kujtim, NO, we should not believe the media in this instance, nor should we let a corrupt Kosovo police force "do their job". During the Balkan wars of the 1990's Serbs did not get the luxury of police investigations or even objective media coverage. Serbs received the vast majority if blame for violence in the Balkans without any investigation. The atrocities committed by Croatians, Bosniaks and Albianians were downplayed. The Western media was (and still is) extremely biased anti-Serb, which helped to sell the 1999 war to Western people. I, for one, am sick of the media bias and it is quite clear that Serbs have been ethnically cleansed from their own sacred land in Kosovo ever since the war ended...all with the support of the U.N. and NATO. This is a tragedy and that I do not support.

The reason that people jump to conclusion that Albanians are behind this is because these are the tactics that KLA has used against the Serbs in the past. Albanians are known for using terrorist type tactics, Serbs are not. If this type of thing happened to ALbanians the world media would automatically state that Serbs are assumed to be behind it. Why can't people do the same in this situation? Thats because its easy to blame the Serbs for everything, it fits. Kosovo police are incompetent and have not had much progress in preventing crime or bringing people to justice, because once again they have no pressure from the West to do so, because it is just Serbs who deserve what they get.

Like Kujtim said, "how quickly some of the readers jump to blame Albanians" for crimes committed in Serb communities!!! Read the link to the International Herald Tribune News that, state that "Three Kosovo Serb men were being questioned about the explosion" and "Investigators do not believe the incident was ethnically motivated, citing internal problems with the school management as the motive behind the blast."

I am impressed how quickly some of the readers jump to blame Albanians for some of the incidents that happen in Kosova. It is a tragedy, a crime, it is terrorism to be targeting schools, and not just schools but any inoncent civilian...But, for gods sake just wait and let the facts come out first before you start blaming others. I am pretty sure that most of you don't even know where Ropotovo is. You don't know that it's a Serbian village where Albanians do not set foot in. Can't you try and see all sides of the story before jumping to your conclusions... Isn't it possible that someone from the Serb community was not satisfied with the school? Isn't it possible that a former employee of the school could do that? Grow up, please. let the police do their job.

This is an abhorrent act of terrorism, aimed at innocent schoolchildren. Can it be any more obvious that those running Kosovo do not deserve independence?

It is a well known fact that interior ministry police (MUP) have been paying criminals, both Serbs and non Serbs to commit such acts of violence, in hopes of it being blamed on Albanians. These desperate and barbaric acts show how intent the Gov't in Belgrade wants to derail independence for Kosovo.

I am sure the Serbs probably did that to themselves. Right? I can hardly wait for the posts to start and for UNMIK to say they have no basis for thinking this is racially motivated. Laughable to think that a country becomes independent when terrorists place bombsin schoolhouses.

Its really too bad the international community decided to drop the Standards before Status position. Targeting children like this is clearly a crime against humanity. I bet this doesn’t make it into the Western press.
