do you know who the albanians are? and who the serbs are?
do you know what is in your history?
let me say it in some words:
you do not feeling a part of the West, but just pretending.
you are like your Đurađ Branković of Serbia.

if the West promised independence they will delivered it. And we trust them, they are like Albanians, they will honor everything till death.
We allways have stayed in one side, and that' s the West side brother.. Peace..

Hasty secession from Serbia against the will of the international community or consultations would be the worst move anyone can make.

"Surprisingly, Prime Minister Agim Ceku has been calling for understanding the most, even though he was one of the first to propose the adoption of an independence proclamation if the international community does not reach a consensus by the end of the year. "

That's because Ceku is not a fool. He may be a nationalist, and he may proclaim unilateral "solutions" to his own circle of supporters, but he doesn't want to turn Kosovo into a South Ossetia, unilaterally declaring independence, while the rest of the world ho-hums and changes the channel.

No one should be surprised if unilateral declaration of independence is declared in 2 weeks! Breaking the promise by Ahtisari is working in hand with pre-planed outcome and justification to avoid a stand up with Russia.

Now it depends of individual countries in recognizing the Democratic Republic of Kosovo! Poland has already made that pledge, I hope Serbia will be the second and end the nemesis once and forever!

anything that can be delayed can also be defeated.

in an amazing turnaround... it is serbia that is driving the agenda. yesterday Greece, Romania, and Spain came out against independence.

Well, well, I have heard many comments on many sites that the west has not betrayed the Albanians in Kosovo & Metohija - it is clear that the assurances and promises in secret meetings are now worth nothing!

I hope that the political leaders of the Albanains in Kosovo & Metohija province realise that the sooner they learn to cooperate and work with Serbian institutions fully the sooner a better future for all peoples of Serbia will come about.

Or do they wish to continue in on path that brings further economic dispair and uncertainty as witnessed by the last 7 years of economic recession?

I hope the Albanian leadership in Kososvo & Metohija can think out of the box and realise that a win-win solution is possible and that reliance on the West will only bring a fudged diplomatic solution imposed on all that will be a lose-lose solution - they need only look at what has happened in Bosnia & Hercegovina nearly 12 years on since the fudged diplomatic wrangling produceed the Dayton agreement.
