Serbia's government has once again hoped that it could cheat the EU into restarting negotiations by giving it, instead of Ratko Mladic, a wish list of how it would like to arrest Ratko Mladic. I hope that this delusion will be the last one, because by now Serbia should have understood that the EU is asking for the real thing, and not for empty words. Only Serbia has to lose from this, and the EU cannot be threatened by the prospect of having radicals rule Serbia. Only Serbia has to lose if Mladic is not arrested and Serbia is ruled by the Radicals. Probably Serbia will have to learn it the hard way. Once Croatia and Bosnia are both in the EU and NATO and Serbia is still isolated, only then maybe will it understand that no one is ready to give it membership for free.
