There can never be peace and co-habitation between Serbians and Albaniacs in Kosovo again. Ceku is acting for the Powers, he knows quite well what the feelings are there. Why the West is blind to this and ignores it, I don't know. I guess to admit it, would mean that their imposed solution would be a failure. EU, NATO, etc. struggle keep piece between ethnic groups in their own countries, yet they want to create some kind of shangri la in Kosovo. Funny! Divide it, let the Albaniacs have their little nation, keep heavily armed international troops on the borders forever, and let's move on with this.

Well, in the end it appears that Serbs are the guilty ones. I was speaking of maturity of people that write comments around here, not the people that are on field and fighting with each other. There's no maturity if you decide to provoke, fight and even kill sometimes!!! That's what I call Milosevic's era and it should be about it by now, we had enough of it. If you don't want to move forward to a brighter future, all together, that's not our fault my friends...

Did you ever ask yourselfs: Why did everyone fight with us?

Typical. Albanians blame Serbs and Serbs blame Albaninas. Accusations are followed by lectures in demographics and complete exoneration of one's own side. Just looking at the comments reveals how far apart the two sides are.

Please find below the official Police Statement on this case:
“According to the Police report from the South station, seven K-Albanian males, four of them juveniles, were returning from a mosque in “Little Bosnia” and near the Main Bridge were assaulted by several suspects, believed to be K-Serbs. Three K-Albanian male victims sustained injuries and were transported to the local Health house. At the same time, according to the report from the North Station, eight K-Albanian males (the “victims” in the above report) were brought to the station as the suspects, who assaulted a K-Serbian male, and later were released. Investigation continues. Follow-up: As a result of this incident, some 250-300 K-Serbs gathered on the northern part of the main bridge. At 23:30, gathering ended with no incidents reported.”

Now let’s compare these details with the ones in the article. Article says “…a group of about 15 youths…” you may see that it’s not 15 but 7 or 8. This is not a small exaggeration since the figures in the article are double.
In a follow up article says :… about one hundred Serbian citizens of Kosovska Mitrovica gather…”. You may see again that the play with the figures goes on since its not 100 but 250-300.

Now, if we go back in time, on 24 Sep, it was the K/Serbian leaders that demanded the bridge to remain closed. The bridge opens the next day and the incident occurs. It’s very much clear who benefits from an incident like this. Especially in this crucial time for Kosovar society.

Now, please try to imagine a group of 7 persons (remember, 4 of them juveniles) crossing the bridge and entering the Serbian controlled side of the town. Do you really think they were the ones assaulting someone? When on a ‘foreign’ (even hostile) territory do you think of assaulting someone or just passing unnoticed? I leave this to your own judgement.

I read somewhere here a remark on ‘why such a thing doesn’t occur in the southern part but always on the northern one’ and here’s my answer on that. This just shows the hospitality of both sides.

Yes the Albanians were a minority once in Kosovo though today they are a majority due to various compaigns of ethnic cleansing. This is well documented by independant sources outside the the Balkans. If you have documentation regarding the statistical demographic history of Kosovo, please provide the link and prove it rather than making personal attacks. It is time the Albanians woke up and join the rest of Europe and the free civilized world, we are esentually talking about a people who still practice traditions such as vendetta(Besa) Where law is irrelevant. Curretnly the flag of the country Albania flies over Pristina, Albanian is the official language and Kosovo is run by Albanians, but this is not enough for the Albanians, they weren't to annex land in order to obtain there nationalistic objectives as simple as that.

If it had not been for NATO in 99 the serbs would be the majority in Kosovo. Alot of Albanians went to the west and never came back. They are still living rent free in the West and enjoying life. Just remember my poor albanians another storm is brewing and this time NATO will not come to your rescue and you again will find yourself in Blace and Albania and you can only blame yourseleves. If the majority rules then pay your electricity bills so you can have power and not protest KEK because they turn off your power because you don't pay.

According to police officer who was at the bridge when the incident happened the Albanian youngsters were in the south of the city in to pray in the mosque since the mosque on the north was completely demolished by Serbian army in 1999 and than they tried to go back home in the north were they live, just after crossing the bridge they were attacked by the Serbs and this is how the fight started, the victims were from booth sides NOT only Serbs.
I’m absolutely shocked how quickly people come to the conclusions on the bases of the eyewitnesses which names we don’t know an I sincerely doubt that they even exists.

Ljupco, I supose you are still asleep. Is time to wake up and smell the coffee. How in the world can you say that ; Untill recenatly Albanians were a minority in Kosova? This is absurde. I think that you have never been to Kosova, I have because I was born here, specifically in Gjakova. The bridge guards are to be blamed and the whole world knows about it. These thugs have been place at the bridge by serbian govermant for very long time and instructed to cause trouble whenever is asked of them. Just read the article : About 15 youths crossing the bridge and provoked the group of serb at the other end. This is the other way around, because that group of serbs are there to harasse any K-Albanina that comes across the bridge.

It's so strange that 15 ALbanians and around 100 gathered Serbs on the other side fought and there are no injuries! very convincing :)
The Kosovar society is heading towards a truly and stable democratic state that is already running, while on the other side, we have Serbia that is still being ruled by people that have pictures in Bosnia with AK47. That is a true democracy and you will convince us 2 mil. Albanians to join your state - Another very convincing fact by Serbs.
The Serbian flag in Gracanica, Strpce and some other places in Kosovo are being next to our National Flag, which I do not see why it shouldn't be next to Macedonian flag if people are majority on that region. That is democracy after all!!! Show a bit of maturity, we all know to behave as children. It's very sad if the fight happened, but you have never realized that I couldn't go out to buy bread and not being slamed by a policemen or any Serbian guy who asked "What is the time?" and if you didn't know to answer on that in Serbian, the scenario is very known to us Albanians (an example of before the war, when Serbs have ruled Kosovo, I believe they will never rule it again)

As if life isn't hard enough for Serbs in Kosovo without having to put up with intimidation, murder and vandalism. This is why Kosovo shouldn't be given Independence as the "state" does not function accordingly, anyone can get a away with murder in Kosovo, little children old grannies regardless. For Kosovo, law does not function, whether it is at the local level or even internationally, Kosovo is s place where law is irrelevant. One can't argue that Milosevic is to blame for the situation in Kosovo today, Serbs have been ethnically cleansed from Kosovo centuries before Milosevic eg WW2 where 10 000 Serbs got massacred and 100 000 ethnically cleansed, the statistics and figures speak for themselves they do not lie... The Albanians were a minority in Kosovo only up until recently, please view the independent figures by visiting the following link; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kosovo

Should the west reward an aggressive expanding mono ethnic state based on centuries of ethnic cleansing? Take Macedonia for an example, The Albanian flag sits next to the Macedonian flag officially in some cities, how has this made the daily life of an Albanian any easier? or resurrecting statues of fallen KLA fighters? you never here Albanian parties talking about improving the Economic situation, all you ever here is about flags, statues, changing of town names into Albanian names, Albanian passports. more mosques etc etc the list goes on. One must conclude considering the actions of Albanian that they are only interested in Albania and nothing else. A wolf in sheep's clothing more like....
