Canak's comments seem pretty reasonable. In any event, Kosovo's independence is a forgone conclusion. There's nothing the Serbs can do to stop it, and they have only themselves to blame. Milosevic used repressive tactics in the province to achieve ultimate power and has now bequeathed to Serbia yet another humiliating and demoralizing loss. Even Montenegro, the land of his forefathers, wanted out of its federation with Serbia in the end! As for Vojvodina, no one needs to be concerned with its departure. The international community will draw the line at Kosovo.

Kosovo is a perfect example of what could happen if Independence is issued, take Canak for instance, the Hungarian population of Vojvodina is around the 12% mark and yet he claims that Serbia could loose Vojvodina http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vojvodina

Could you imagine what will happen in Bosnia, Macedonia to name a few? a small group of nationalist stirring trouble as per usual. Lets face it, the Balkans are full of expansionist nationalists on all sides, regardless of ethnicity. The Albanians and Hungarians should stop pretending to be the victim, they are clearly the aggressors

I think the Serbian people should concentrate on real aspects, such as creating conditions for development and for (let us say it) for keeping Vojvodina. Didn't you wonder that Montenegrins, fellow Serbian-speakers and Orthodox decided to leave the federation? Nothing to wonder about! Noone wants to live in a country that is in war with all mankind. I am sorry if I am too direct. If Serbia had handed Mladic, I guess Montenegro would still be part of the federation. Anyway, my Serbian friends, your priority, I think, is getting peace and prosperity, entering the EU and, especially, keeping Vojvodina, because, face it, if you will not change your way to behave, you will eventually lose it. The people of Vojvodina wishes to stay in Serbia, GIVEN THAT they will have prosperity and hope in the future. If you will not look into the future, you will lose Vojvodina too. Do a favour to yourselves, recognize Kosova and convince Europe that Serbia is not anymore the dark power that commited the Srebrenica atrocities. May God bless you and give you, my Serbian friends, the prosperity and peace that you truly deserve.

If Canak were a responsible and considerate Serbian citizen he would uphold justice and the law and protect Serbia's sovereignty (wherever it may be threatened) and secondly help peaceful and good Serbian allies in the Balkans who oppose the project of Greater Albania.

Canak's argument has no logic either-the Republic of Serbia (or pretty much any country in their right mind) looks to better the standard of living for its people and better the economy.

Serbia is doing all these things extremely well (without Canak's ill anti-Serbian advice). Serbian GDP is growing about 6% a year, the economy is revitalized and is ranked 68th now in the world for the most favorable business climate.

If Serbs are smart, Canak should become their PM. They have already lost their best politician, Mr. Labus. How many decades need Serb to move forward from their destruction and non sense politics and policies of the 90's that produced so much suffering for citizens of the former Yugoslavia? Dont you people get that time have changed. There is no way that Kosovo is back in Serbia- it is lost forever and you know why. I used to suffer in my every day life from oppression of politics and regimes that you blindly supported on Kosovo issue. I was a refugee and I will never forget that! However, I am willing to accept the way forward - forgive but not forget. Kosovo will move towards EU and NATO...wanted that Serbs or not. Who is asking them anymore anyway?
