I like B-92.You can say what you think in very democratic way.It says that serbian people can be unnderstanding. What I don't like that some comments made here are still way of the line.We have people from serbia living abroad, but still they think like some ex bad politicians from serbia. What Serbia did to Kosovo everyone forgot. I am amased how some readers still think that nothing happened. Now some of the readers are bringing the religion as a cause of all that genocide done on kosovan albanians. We all know the truth so guys thats face the facts and be gentleman and except that you have lost this game,if you want a replay you have to deserve it.USA will decide about the Kosovo. It doesn't matter how the meetings in Vienna are going to finish, because of the genocide in Kosovo you have lost the right to delegate kosovan albanians, whether you like it or not,and Mr.Afrim Hoxha told you already so you have to be a good lossers.See you in Europe.

To those who think that Kosova will not become independent I will only paste the information here on what Tadic said and this is also posted in B92 news also with the title "Tadic Continues US visit". here is the comment of Tadic: "Commenting the first two days of his US visit, Tadić said that the stances of the US and Serbia differ considerably regarding the Kosovo status situation, and that he is getting the impression that the US administration supports some form of Kosovo independence."
I would like to remind JOHN when he mentions the "islamist terror". It was Serbia's government who was sided with Saddam Husein, Ghadaffi and other islamist radicals. The US government knows it very well that there were serbian officers fighting for Iraq in US Iraqi war. Ghadaffi of Lybia got medal of honor by the former serbian president for his opposition to USA. I would also like to say that the albanians are the most pro american people not only in Europe, but in the whole entire world and this is proven by few surveys.
John mentions the burning of the orthodox churches but does not mention the burning of the catholic churches and the muslim mosques from serb military in 1999. Remember, your orthodox churches were bombed by the western christians too, and guess why? Because those churches were not used for religious rituals but were instead used to bless paramilitary groups before going to kill innocent civilians. This is even shown in videotape happening. It is interesting to see how all western diplomats that come to Kosova are in the side of Albanians even that they are Christians too. I understand that Serbia wants to make it as a religious issue, but remember serbs, you were fighting against the croats too who are catholic christians. During the war Albanians were sided with Croats which are catholics. Do you know how many christian catholic churches Serbs destroyed in Croatia? Therefore as a conclusion, when it comes to religion, is that this is not a religious problem, it is an ethnic problem where Serbia fought with every neighboring country to expand and make greater Serbia, but could not succeed, this thanks to USA. I would like to remind you that there is no more the time when the Serbs would inform the west for what is happening in kosova, that time is over. Now, the western diplomats are in Kosova and they see what is going on there.
Since you live in USA JOHN, I would like to tell you that your attempt to connect the albanians with the arab islamists is not good at all because in USA the albanian lobby is very well connected with the jewish lobby, therefore if we the albanians would be with arab islamists, then the Jewish Community would not be in our side.
TEDDY DC, I am sorry that you are falling a victim of some serbian propaganda, but Kosova for sure will become independent, and that with the help of our great ally, UNITED STATES.
JOE, once again i would like to inform you that there is no such islamist terror in kosova, that is a pure, pure lie of serb propaganda. Once again I have to mention the fact that the Albanians are the most pro american nation in the world, and also that in USA the jewish lobby supports 100% the albanian lobby, and that is why we won in the US diplomacy, thanks to the Jewish Lobby,Community.
The US and other western diplomats are in Kosova, they see who is good and who is bad. Each time criticism is sent , it is send towards the unruly serb leaders. They always praise our albanian leaders for being good and partners in peace.
Sorry for this long comment, and sorry but I did not intend to make all serbs look bad, For example B92 people are serbs, but they give us the opportunity to exchange thoughts and ideas, so therefore thanks to B92 for giving us this opportunity.
Thank you.

I am sick and tired of albanians playing like they are the only victims on Kosovo!.When the facts are Kosovo is a land in which neither side has respected the rights of the other when they have been in power. Bottom line is Serbs killed albanians and vice versa but rewarding islamic terror with independence is trouble for the whole region. I say no to a greater albania.

Bravo for Tadic. The opera is not over until the fat lady sings, is an old American saying. I do not think Kosovo is independent yet, and I do not think independence will be so easy to achieve, because of all the Albanian crime, corruption, the former KLA who is in cahoots with Bin Laden, child trafficking, drugs etc. Serbia has every right to use all diplomatic means to fight for the craddle of its land. Kosovo has been Serbian in the Middle Ages. It has been Serbian since 1912. It has never been an independent state, nor part of an Albanian state. Just because of their numbers, Albanians do not have the right to claim a land that is not historically theirs. Anyway, Serbia will never recognize an independent Kosovo. And by the way, it's still Kosovo, not Kosova. See UN Resolution 1244 and all other relevant agreements.

This is hilarious...

Among other things, Tadic said:

"We enter the Kosovo talks defending our legitimate poison that includes the fact Serbia has been established in its borders that include Kosovo in 1912. "

He just admitted what every Albanian has claimed for almost a century, and that is that Serbia has occupied Kosovo as soon as the Ottoman Empire retreated in 1912.

Incidentally, this is when Albania declared its independence (where by the way the Albanian representatives from Kosova were present and considered Kosova an indivisable part of Albania, but unfortunately bloddy occupation of the Serbian army chopped the Kosovo portion of the Albanian lands...).

What happened to the cradle of Serbian civilization and 6 centuries of suffernig?

At least Tadic is being a little more honest than his predecestors.

i came across the kosovo independence issue by a friend of mine who was a former member of KFOR. i think the albanians rallying point for independence is their ethnicity. if the international community grants independence for this reason, it will add more chaos to the now-chaotic world we live in. this would trigger a domino effect on ethnic groups wanting tp separate from a country. maybe basque in spain, kurds in iraq, chechnya etc etc etc will intensify their fight. this is what the West wants in order for arms business to flourish.

Right on John, good post. Seems like Albanians will hold their breaths and turn blue if they do not get their independence. A lot has changed in the world since Clinton orchestrated his campaign against Serbia, and the West may be re-thinking it's policies towards the Balkans. In any case, Albanian supporters, please look at your own leaders before you comment on others.

In response to Afrim's post I would like to pose a differing view. Why is Afrim so intent on telling the Serbian readers on this site the "truth"? Perhaps, while meeting with 20 US Senators is an indication that the US has not finalized their position on Kosovo. I know that my Senator from the great state of Texas is vehemently opposed to Kosovo's independence, particularly when we are fighting Islamic terrorists and Albanian Islamists terrorized, burned, looted, and desecrated Christian churches. The March-2004 pogroms against the Serbs and their religous sites has our elected leaders wondering if essential autonomy is not the best solution. Even if the Albanians get independence it will be one of considerable stipulations that will not make Afrim and his people all that excited.

In closing, I would like to thank Afrim for his genuine concern for the Serbian people when choosing elected leaders; however, I personally hope that Afrim and his people elect a PM that has not slaughtered over 600 innocent Serbian civilians and was undoubtably orchestrated the March-2004 pogrom and was behind the ethnic cleansing of Serbs in Kosovo.

If you ask me, Ceku is Milosevic, if not worse and if we are to co-exist as neighbors these radical elements must be removed from all political and military circles.

Mr. Tadic got the answer from everyone in the United States that Kosova will get independence. I am sad that Mr. Tadic is not telling this to his people in Serbia. It is really sad to keep people with lies and propaganda when they know it very well that Kosova is independent.
This was also mentioned in the European Parliament yesterday when one of the EU parliament members said that " Somebody should tell Serbia that Kosova is independent".
The main reason why this is not right is because Mr. Tadic seems to be a more honest politician than Kostunica type politicians, so I hoped that Mr. Tadic would finally tell the truth, but this was not done yet.
I hope that in the near future the serb people will choose some leaders who tell them the truth and who do not keep people with lies just because of their plan to get elected again and again based on lies.
thanks.
