USA determined: "We are not sending the army. Period"

The state of US military is in a very poor condition. You only have to listen to people like Colonel Doug McGregor to understand it. Over the years despite spending billions on “defence” the actual military has been reduced in size. On paper they have about 15 brigades but would be lucky to put together two brigades for a military operation. Even though there has been a reduction the military finds it almost impossible to fill current vacancies and that despite lowering entry standards such as criminal records being disregarded and not finishing school. There is about 40,000 soldiers in Europe to “contain” Russia LOL. They couldn’t contain a troop of drunken pensioners.
The equipment they have has shown to be inferior from the Patriot to the HIMRS, M777s, Bradleys to ATACMS. Everything has been DESTROYED by the Russian. The “legendary game changers” Leopards are burning nicely in Ukraine.
The problem here is that vast majority of that defence budget goes to the MICs who produce crap such as the F35s. Other equipment is designed to break down so the MICs can sell spares.
The navy is in a better shape, but it has legacy issues with aircraft carriers – they are sitting ducks for hypersonic missiles. The submarines are the only thing that still in good shape.
People like Graham, Haley, Newland, Sullivan and Blinken are drinking their own cool aid - they believe the US is the best military in the world. Its not. Latest standing is No.1 is Russia.
