Chomsky "buried" America; "Are you implying that...?"; "I'm not implying, it's true"

Long-time critic of U.S. foreign policy Noam Chomsky said that Russia is fighting "more humanely" than the United States did in Iraq.

Chomsky maybe old but he is not stupid or senile. First of all, castration and beheadings were never carried out by Russians troops – that’s pure bullshit or commonly known as spin. Secondly, Chomsky was very vocal for many years on the terrible consequences of sanctions on Iraq which caused the deaths of adults and children in particular due to a lack of medication. Its just that your free press never mentioned it. Its was Madeline Albright that said the death of 500,000 children was worth the sanctions – yes, the same one that supported Albos in Kosovo.
What Chomsky was talking about in regard to GW Bush is that the military campaign resulted in total destruction and devastation not only to Iraqis but infrastructure for water, energy, roads, communications and bridges were vaporised whereas the Russians have not been as ruthless. Chomsky is right.

but the losses in Iraq are not exclusively as a result of American and British military activity. The conflict is much more dynamic and complex than the one in Ukraine.

Let me guess it was Putin's fault, eh? What are you? dumb? the losses were EXCLUVELY as a result of the US and UK. There is no complexity at all unless little green men beamed down from Mars?

It seems the once respected Chomsky has unfortunately become senile in his old age. While American 2003 Iraq war had it's crimes, it is nothing compared to beheading and castrations done by Russian troops. On top of that, Chomsky has an issue with 2003 Iraq war of W Bush but hasn't been vocal about the 1990s Iraq war of Clinton who starved half a million Iraqi children. Now if Chomsky compared Clinton's campaign in Iraq to Russia in Ukraine he would be spot on correct saying America was worse than Russia. Just he isn't correct with the 2003 Iraq war.

You can't compare the destruction and death toll of a 14 month conflict to a conflict that lasted nearly 9 years! Given that Russia maintains the intensity of their missile and drone strikes, Ukraine will look like it did during WW2 and will have a similar death toll to the one in Iraq.

I don't defend the US's actions in Iraq or elsewhere where they have stormed in with their dirty boots and caused destruction and death, but the losses in Iraq are not exclusively as a result of American and British military activity. The conflict is much more dynamic and complex than the one in Ukraine.
