Yeah, they going to put the blame on a fatal mistake by the station manager. What they are not saying is that for years the rail workers union warned the authorities that the electronic warning system was not working and that by having to use the manual system, an accident like this was bound to happen. The last warning was given at the beginning of February. These warnings were ignored, nothing was done. The EU recently referred Greece to the European courts for failing to comply with EU rules on railways. This has been a case of criminal neglect but as usual the culprits of that will avoid punishment.
