However, here lies the problem, we won't ever forget, but propaganda and historical revisionism have been detrimental to us for eons, in particular the last 30 years or so. Betsy, learn your history! And, by the way, I live in Chicago. Let's just look at WW2 for now. I'm going from memory here, so you can check the numbers yourself. The US lost about 10,000 soldiers in WW2 and didn't get involved in the conflict until the war was well on its way - around the time Pearl Harbor was bombed. On the flip side, Russia lost 10,000,000 soldiers in there fight against Nazi Germany and its allies. So, let's not give the Russians any credit; however, if it wasn't for them, you's be speaking Deutch right now. We love to toot our own horn as Americans, but the reality is that we haven't contributed enough, but have caused chaos all over the world. In particular the former Jugoslavija, thank you America for rewarding us for being allies in both world wars. Once you realize that the US leadership of today is not the same as yesteryear, maybe this will make more sense to you. We have only garbage in DC right now, and I don't see it changing unless the people finally step up and take matters into their own hand.
